Just out of curiousity, is pit-rok similiar to crystal spring salt of the earth? The reason i ask is that the latter, while initially effective didn't control my 'pit pong' inspite of using the spray or crystal.:(

Hi CL, I believe it's the same thing.

Can't say I've had any problem with using the rok on hairy pits, perhaps it's just down to technique. 😉

As for the crystals falling to bits if you wet them under the tap, I always wet mine under the tap, use it and then dry it quickly on a towel. I think it's more a case of water being left on it that will make it crumble. My first one lasted for 2 years and I'm just coming to the end of my second one after 3 years.

Once in a while I'll put a drop or two of tea trea oil on top of the crystal and let that soak in (as much as it can soak anyway!). That will help prevent any bacterial build up and also gives it a little bit of fragrance. Of course, being pure essential oil I always make sure it's soaked in/away as much as possible before applying to the skin, even though tea trea is generally safe to use neat anyway.

Using tea tree on it seems like a great idea.

A mix of 1 part bicarbonate to 2 parts cornflour makes a great deodorant. I started using it awhile ago to save money and I'm surprised at how well it works. It keeps me quite dry. If you use a powder puff to apply the white marks aren't too much. You can add essential oils to make a scent you like, as well.

hi there tapestry, do you add water or just keep it dry?
