RE: So much darkness?
Hi Sharon,
This is all new to me too, I have only just begun what I call my spiritual journey. Im sure there will be other people (like Willow) who will explain it alot better than I can. But I will give you my interpretation. 🙂
To me spirituality is realising that you are a spirit within a human form. Not the other way around. Like Willow says its all about how you interpret it coz its your own personal journey. We are all here for different reasons (and I believe its coz we all have differnet lessons to learn that were pre-decided before we got here) and we are all at differnet stages in our journey which makes it a very personal thing. (again Willow describes it perfectly - a personal quest.)
Its about being intune with your higherself. Follwing your intuition and doing what feels right to grow as person, to evolve your spiritual being. As you say its about connecting with whats pure and alive inside you. Belief in your self...
I supose a very basic way of looking at it, is light and dark... I believe that all things spiritual are good and pure and we relate those things to light. But where there is light there is darkness and its about overcoming that. On a very personal level for me it was realising the "dark side" in me. Acknowleding it as flaws in my personality and making a concious effort to change that and be a better person. In doing so I have learnt leasons that I believe I needed to learn and I am still learning!!! SO I now do my best to do do things in light and love.
I am rubbish when it comes to explaing what I feel in my heart but a book that shed alot of light on the matter for me, is a book called "Seat of the Soul" by Gary Zukav. If you can get your paws on it, its worth reading!!! :)Its absolutly brilliant. It explains so much and will answer the questions you have aksed here.
Hope that helps your confusion and doesnt confuzzel you even more! LOL! 🙂
Much love and hugz!

RE: So much darkness?
Just found this quote which sums a few things up nicely...:
~It begins with the private experience that life has beauty, meaning and mystery - and that we are absolutely connected to it all~
Well I thought so... 🙂 and had to add my 2p 🙂

Dear Sharon,
I don't know if you caught this thread from July which went into the deeper reaches of spirituality, or at least some angles of it:

when you stop seeking outside of yourself Sharon and look within, you will find all that you seek, you will find the divine....you will find GOD....and then you will fly divine!

firstly thanks all that replied.
Kim, I have to fess up here I'm afraid, my thread weren't quite what it seems, sorry everyone:)
I have no probs with me, who I am, what I am. I'm not trying to be spiritual/not spritual, not trying to be anything, I'm just being me. I've no desire to find God, I feel God is unknown/unknowable, I appricate you feel different, but we are chalk and cheese;)
My main conceren of late on here, and what's worried me is I've read a lot about nasties (ghouls/others/call em what you will) and it unereves me, and I'll tell you why.
This year in the USA a 7 year old child was killed by his own parents. They thought thechild had been possesed by a 'nastie' got themselves in such a state that they killed the child. Now...this is why I worry when I see such passion from folk that bad spirits are around. This case, and I bet it's not the last or only one, to me highlight the dangers of being /thinking so 'open' to stuff of a spiritual nature. I'm just saying be open guys, but not so open your brains fall out and let's hope keep a grip on reality.
As I say that case has truly troubled me and my teeth go on edge when I read some of the stuff sometimes, I won't say another word I promise, butat least now you understand where I'm coming from
Much Love
Sharon
RE: So much darkness?
Dear Sharon
As Jesus said other people's business is none of your business, your business is self.
There is a natural justice in this world and spiritual laws that take care of such things. And I have to say, that people in the UK have a great deal more common sense then a few in the US. There is 30 million Christian Fundamentalists in the US for example. Also the case you mention is probably one in billions.....so let us not concern ourselves with such rare cases, when there is much more important matters to attend to on this planet.
Also your orignal post mentioned no such case. Your original post was asking questions to which my last post responded.
Happy New Year
