Everyone has a contract prior to incarnation, what isn't so easy is remembering why you are here, layers of conditioning and trauma can make one unable to access the information. It is more a feeling that you have something to do, and that feeling or your higher self will lead you to take the necessary steps, and sometimes the steps are very painful as you work through the layers of pain and trauma. Flower essences are also great for clearing blockages and making your life purpose clear. The more blockages you remove, the clearer your purpose becomes.
Angel Light, what's wrong with labels? A teacher is called a teacher, a lawyer is called a lawyer, an electrician is called an electrician - we are all from the Source, yet we have agreed to do different things, whether that be a lightworker, a spiritual healer, a reiki practitioner, a teacher, it matters not, as long as it resonates at a deep level.

Ah yes, thanks Rosi, this is a theory that was discussed many times over the 3 year period I spent at spiritual healing classes, the pre incarnation contract. It doesn't personally resonate with me, but that it does with so many other people is something I respect.
I agree that pre conditioning, for example being raised within a dogmatic form of religious worship, can prevent someone from seeing clearly any different routes, but then it can also have the opposite effect, that of opening ones eyes to all other possibilities. I think this depends on many aspects within a person's life, clearly one such is if they have the ABILITY to look beyond what they have been taught and therefore question and walk a different path.
I think (excuse me for coming in here Angel Light) that maybe what Angel Light meant, as I did, was 'spiritual labels' rather than the very important and necessary labels we give ourselves in every day life. Labelling yourself as anything in particular seems to elevate you above others.

I speak from experience Gillyann, it isn't a theory. I have been accessing and activating my life purpose for a number of years now.

Again, the individual is the one having a relationship with Spirit, who are we to comment on what name may have been given to the person by Spirit, or what you may have chosen to undertake on your Earth walk. Calling yourself a lightworker, or starseed or indigo child or whatever does not elevate you above others, those are 'other people's' issues to deal with - everyone is entitled to their opinion, and if you think that a label elevates one person above the other, then you (not you personally) need to search why you feel like that.
