We never use the term Lightworker because it does have that very effect of seeming like an affectation or putting people off. It’s a bit like saying, “I am SuperWoman, out to save the world.”
But what do we do? We make it our life’s work to let people see that there is another way to live. We share information with them when they ask or are open to another point of view. We ‘know’ things that are, perhaps, not common knowledge because others choose another route. We have chosen a road less traveled.
We have never fit with the crowd, separately or together. We approach life from a different aspect and cannot see the attraction of going through each day in the same way that Thoreau referred to when he said, "The mass of men lead lives of quiet desperation." We choose to see the hope, joy, and simplicity that exist.
If, through our words, even one can find a place of peacefulness and calm within him/herself, we have lived successfully.

You have understood my concerns very well here, I like the way you try to explain "Lightwork"
I am still interested in other peoples views as well......
I was pondering on this question last night, why it had come up why i was finding it difficult to answer.
Then i was reminded by spirit of a girl at work who is good at her job but as a part of her training has to say WHY she does the things she does ,the way she does them & why thats important.
She was finding this very hard to do. "Why do they ask such stupid Questions "she asked me .
"To make sure you understand *Why* you do these things & that your not just doing them because your told to do so.. understanding why is very important." I answered her.
So when I asked why I got asked this hard to answer question being able to give the subject justice without sounding either nuts or like EAW says like 'Superwoman out to say the worlds'. Spirit guided me back to the senario above & emphersied to me the answer I I had been guided to give my work friend above .
So yes Ithar I need to search my feelings , but its hard with the amount of interuptions I get . I need to centre go within & find my answer & I feel spirit will be there to guide me to, ( least i hope so [:-]:D)
What does any one feel to this notion ? I read last night that most lightworks are actually star beings , Now I know my original self is star being & I know many other lightworkers that are also starbeings . but what about everyone else are we , they also star beings????

Star Wars is a good example and to be honest I cannot think of one that is better, except maybe the UN peace keeping force. There are peace keepers and peace makers and I would say that lightworkers are the peace makers and spiritual activists at the same time.
There is a whole thread on this forum titled 'Lightworkers' and it might help to review this.
One of the problems is that the 'new age' has developed its own language and jargon and it is easy to forget that words we use daily are not in common language or commonly understood, it is the same in different industries marketing has exactly the same problem. Also more and more words mean different things to different people depending on their state of consciousness and perceptions.
The best thing is to keep it very simple, however I do not support treating anyone like a child and giving anyone baby talk, if they can't take it straight then that is there issue for them to look at. The key word being balance again between where they are on their journey and where you are on yours finding the middle path is good.
