RE: Meeting A Guide

Hello Giles,

Yes, I discount nothing in this experience. What you say about the incarnations may well be the case, the whole thing was so powerful and poignant. Sharon's analogy of 'bridging the gap' is just how it feels - I have managed to make the connection between the physical and the spiritual, and moreover, that I know I've done so. That is most remarkable.

I feel as if I have turned a corner in my spiritual development.

Love,
Patsy.

Hello Songstress,

Congratulations, dear one, you have met an aspect of yourself. That is right, dear heart. You have met an aspect of yourself.

Do you not know that this is possible, dear one? Indeed it is. The little one who writes for us is saying 'ooh scary', and scary it can be, dear heart, albeit true.

We shall leave this with you, dear one, to contemplate.

Many blessings, dear heart, many blessings

RE: Meeting A Guide

Hi Patsy

Great thread - I'm really fascinated by this kind of thing. Can I present another possibility which was triggered in my mind by a book I'm reading. It is called Destiny of Souls by Michael Newton. In a nutshell, he regressed a number of subjects to find out what happened BETWEEN their lives - not just past life stuff and found that there was an amazing similarity between what completely independent people said happened to them. They all described themselves (their souls) returning to a soul family or group after each life - all at a similar stage in their spiritual advancement. He suggests that these flashes of recognition between incarnated people on earth, even though they may have never met before, is a fleeting connection between two souls of the same family or related families. Often souls of the same family reincarnated together to work out particular issues, but often quite separately and lives only briefly touch just to reassure each other that they are around but involved in working out stuff elsewhere.

My jury is out on whether this is all what goes on after you die, but it is one theory and quite an attractive one. This guy in Egypt could have been one of your soul family and you just stopped by each other for a short time to reassure each other you were still around?

I remember an incident way back when I was a student. I was waiting to cross at some traffic lights and a car pulled up to let me go. The guy who was driving and I looked at each other at the same time and just stared at each other with our mouths open - quite literally. We stared at each other so long that cars started beeping at us but there was such a strong sense of connectivity there - I have never felt it so strongly before or since. I can't even remember what he looked like - it wasn't a physical attraction just the feeling of "Oh my god - I know you!".

I crossed the road and he was gone - and I never saw him again. In the twenty or so years since that incident I have often wondered what it meant, but after reading this book I am wondering - was he someone who's soul I knew and we just brushed up against each other in time?

It's fascinating stuff isn't it. Makes me shiver down my spine (in a nice way).

Love

Hello Celtia,

The story of meeting one's spirit friends is exactly right. I don't know whether I will hear from my Egyptian friend at the physical level again, but that isn't important. What is important, is that the connection has been made. Like you, this wasn't a physical attraction per se, but a 'knowing' of someone in the past, or like your experience, two spirits meeting in time. That's the best way I can describe it. The backdrop of the place and the recognition of that was also important, as if to give weight to the spiritual, if you understand me; how this experience fitted in with general relativity.

Amazing! The books are right....! 😀

Love,
Patsy.

RE: Meeting A Guide

I forgot to mention that I once had another strange experience involving guides. This story is true to the last detail. It took place about 14 years ago.

I used to have a Ford Capri, a white one. It had a habit of conking out suddenly. I had just completed my geology degree, and one Saturday evening, I arranged to meet with three girlfriends whom I had met on the course. We went to Kingston for dinner, etc. One lived in Banstead, and her name was Zena. I don't drink if I'm driving, so I agreed to drop them all off at home. Zena was the last to be dropped off. I left her house in the early hours, and as luck would have it, my blinking car decided to conk out in a lonely country lane by some woods in Banstead. I was freaking out because it was dark and lonely, and I got a bit 'spooked.' I got out of my car ready to find a 'phone box, when a police car came along. It stopped, and the policeman offered me a lift home, which I accepted very gratefully. He told me the name of the police station where he worked and about his family, etc. The next day I decided to call him and thank him for rescuing me. When I phoned the station, the desk sergeant said, 'Madam, we have no record of this officer here.' I was puzzled, so meditated upon it. The answer came back, 'The policeman was your guide in human form. At that time, you'd only have trusted a policeman to rescue you, so he came and did it.'

I was utterly amazed and dumbfounded. Poor Zena died in 1995.

Love,
Patsy.
