RE: Is there no-one brave enough?
Dear Kim,
The Temptation - well if you consider greed, lust, desire etc as evil then that maybe your truth,
No, not exactly Kim[:-] Not a very apt description of me as a person in fact;) Er, thanks for that[:-]
But, YES I consider all this, greed, lust, desire, eetc, the list goes on, to be evil - they transform people into different beings, they overtake the essence of Spirit.
I believe this is everyone's truth, to have the choice between the negative and the positive, - so yet again I beg to differ.
Comes down to free will again - you have the choice to act as a greedy, lustful, desirous person, or you have the choice to act as someone who cares for others, empathises, puts others good before their own, and takes lust away form their hearts, and not sexual lust here, lust for power, money, or attainement.
Whilst I respect your view that Jesus was tested by his own soul, I personally dispute this.
To my thoughts, The temptation in the wilderness is controversial. Questions have been asked by so many people who trys to reconcile common sense into Christ's divinity, and the devil (evil) . Question - Was it possible that Christ could be tempted, and if so, could He have fallen into sin? Did He meet these temptations as the omnipotent Son of God, or did He meet them as a man and therefore subject to temptation? What is meant by the devil? And what was the relation of Christ to evil? Had this wilderness story never been told to us, what would have been our attitude to Christ? What really took place in the consciousness of Christ while in the wilderness? Why are we asked to share this experience if not to acknowledge evil?
Christians believe Christ came in a human form, was subject to human conditions: He obviously felt irritation, and was governed by human bodily needs and His environment and the period, as we all are at any point in our existance. However, He learnt to master Himself, (wish we could) and He could face evil and triumph. Aka the tmeptation. He taught us how to meet temptation; what to expect, and how evil can be turned into good. He simply used the knowledge which He had. He used no divine powers to overcome evil. He used those which we all possess - the truth within ourselves. . Christ did not escape it, no r tried to escape it but met it face to face.....................

RE: Is there no-one brave enough?
Dear Gillyann
I would say that darkness dies but love never does.
Dear Nancy and Steve
Apologies for not getting back sooner to your post.
Just sharing a few different views to your own.
“When the messages are confusing, lead away from the simplicity of oneness with all that is, and, as in this instance, essentially ridicule my existence I can recognize them as unhealthy to my spiritual progress.”
I must have missed the ridicule of your existence. Not surprising I only tend to view the goodness in everything. My view is that confusion lies outside of self, however it can trigger something within still not healed. If something is unhealthy for you then it is good to look within at the reason why? You see once you are whole, nothing outside of the self can confuse, harm or be unhealthy for you.
I had a very interesting conversation with Archangel Michael in January 2004. He said ‘Kim, in the past you have said I do not resonate with their energy. Now, it is time for you to move up a level of consciousness. If you feel that you do not resonate with something or someone, this means that you must learn to love more’. That was a cosmic kick up the butt! I can tell you.
“Should I refuse the concept that some things are not healthy, I fill my “self” with garbage. This bit of Spirit that I AM deserves better. “
Well you can create anything that you think. However, when you are pure love nothing can harm you. The power of your love transmutes beyond measure. Love is the only armour that we need, it is the greatest shield and the most wonderful catalyst for change in others.
“Think of a glass of pure water. All of the things that life hands us go into that glass and there is the possibility that it will soon resemble mud more than clear water. The dirtier it gets the less obvious it is that we are adding more crud. On the other hand, if we do not add everything to that glass, if we exercise discernment as to what we allow to enter that water, we keep the clarity and each bit of impurity is visible.”
Beauty is truly in the eye of the beholder and the clearer our lens of perceptional consciousness the more beauty we see in everything and everyone. I have an analogy for you in return we start out like a perfect piece of blue tak and we allow life to knock us out of shape, in healing the self we unravel the blue tak and it becomes perfect once more.
“When we make the decision that we will accept only those things that are Loving, we allow our “self” to remain closer to the purity of our origin. We exercise the right to exclude from our being all that is not Loving.”
I loved this quote from Mother Mary ‘The more the dark shadows draw close to you the larger your Christ light becomes.’ I understand this to mean that the more darkness that we transmute the more love and light we become. Not just the perfect loving child that we were born to be, we can become a Christ or Buddha.
“God says everyday, “This is my child in whom I am well pleased.”
Well that is great for you, I can honestly say he doesn’t say that to me everyday, however, if and when I do get a pat on the back it makes me feel truly humble and very much appreciated. I think if God said that to me everyday it would not seem so special and a bit blasé!
“One is no more important than another, no more loved than another, no more worthy than another.”
I totally agree.
“It is each of us comparing ourselves with those WE THINK are”
I wasn’t aware that anyone was comparing themselves.
“more worthy that allows us to believe that we are unworthy.”
Well that is a personal issue for the person involved in those feelings to heal.
“And that is where we become vulnerable”
Vulnerability it good it is a strength not a weakness IMHV.
“to those who ply us with feelings of superiority or who use us for their own devices.”
Every negative situation is an opportunity for growth when you vie
RE: Is there no-one brave enough?
Well Kim you have not exactly responded or addressed by comments? Ok darkness dies, sometimes, if we make it, but we have to make the effort to stay in the Light.
