RE: Is there no-one brave enough?

What you think you will create Gillyann, it is man's enemy and victim thinking that creates the enemy and darkness, for we are all one in group consciousness. The illusion is that death is an issue, when one views man as a flower that reseeds and recreates itself one is able to move beyond the illusion of duality. What you speak of is attachment and attachment is the cause of all pain and suffering.

So, Kim, I created the horrors the world has seen?? I don't think so, my dear, as we have all seen them, and experience them, by one way or another, and I alone, in creating these, am not that powerful.[:-]

Death was not the issue in this thread. I dispute that I even mentioned it - other than in the context of the human evil responsible for their creation.

If you cannot acknowledge that evil exists then you are going against what Christ said.

Christ rejects violence, and evil, as is clear in many passages from the Gospel. We hear him say in the sermon on the mountain: “Blessed are the meek: for they shall inherit the earth” (Matthew 5:5), “Blessed are the peacemakers: for they shall be called the children of God” (5:9), “You have heard that it was said by them of old time: You shall not kill; and whosoever shall kill shall be in danger of the judgment. But I say unto you, that whosoever is angry with his brother without a cause shall be in danger of the judgment” (5:21-22). “You have heard that it had been said: An eye for an eye, and a tooth for a tooth. But I say unto you, that you resist not evil: but whosoever shall smite you on your right cheek, turn to him the other also” (5:38), and “You have heard that it had been said: You shall love your neighbor, and hate your enemy. But I say unto you, love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you” (Matthew 5:43-44), and he commanded his disciples saying: “Behold, I send you forth as sheep in the midst of wolves: be therefore wise as serpents, and harmless as doves” (10:16).

What is all this except an acknowledgement of evil?

If we do not question, then all manner of evil is accepted. If we cease to ask for help from the divine we go our own way. Both are acceptable in the same way that you can purchase a cubic zirconia, but many prefer the authentic diamond. Energyatwork

absolutely

Gilly

just to add my happence worth - I believe absolutely that we create our own reality - as raised in the long channelling above from Michael :

* Are you becoming more comfortable as a co-creator of your life's experiences, and are you now willing to take credit/responsibility for both the positive and negative experiences in your life?

when we think the same thoughts, then we co-create the same reality. this allows us to be easily manipulated if we are not careful - as terrorists amply prove, and why "evil" leaders like Hitler can hold so much power. I believe that what we see as Evil is projection from within ourselves, and the only way to claim back power is to own it - as in Jung's shadow self.

Interestingly, the spiritual film "What The Bleep Do We Know" is exploring exactly this point, of how we create our individual reality. I can't wait to go and see it a second time!

Kim, where is the place in the New Testament that Jesus said these words.,

'you can kill the body but you cannot kill the soul'.

He said this 1000 times within each message he gave surely, but not in any particular spoken message?

Reality is disturbing to all minds who bother to think;) If you think, study history and weigh things up in a logical and rational manner you can then can dissceminate clearly between the difference of good and evil. But, with all due respect, as has been said on this thread, you and I are never going to agree;)

When we cease to question we are content and have true peace of mind and heart.

No No No, Never;) for ceasing to question means we allow ourselves to become as sheep - not God's intention at all. To question is to live, to explore to move forward, to release old ideas and embrase new ones, to understand when you were wrong and to accept the new situations, to forever seek enlightenment and knowledge, even if you are wrong;)

Never, ever, accept one person's truth for that is not your own.

God has no enemies or adversaries - how can the Creator have adversaries when we are all part of that creation and so part of the One.

However, just as their are spirits of light there are also spirits of darkness and it is this collectivity of dark spirits that we call "devil" or "evil". A collective force which feeds on and is strengthened by the negative thoughts and actions of mankind. The "devil" can be said to be a part of humanity - it's lower self. However, we also have that beautiful, shining Higher self which is nourished through positive actions, feelings etc. There are two aspects, then, joined to the Divine.
Re: the Sephirothic Tree in which the throne of God is symbolized by Kepher - governing the Universe with the help of two opposing factors - those that we call good and evil.
Good alone has not succeeded in vanquishing evil - it is continually battling against evil but never triumphing. BUT neither has evil succeeded in defeating good. Good is persecuted, massacred etc., but is constantly reborn. Maybe, without the spur of evil, life could not move on.
Good is not God. God, rather, is the parent and good and evil the children. God, the Divine, is the unique centre which is above both good and evil. We can never annihilate evil but we can recognise and utilize it thus transforming it into a positive resource - a force for good.
How many times have disasters, obstacles and failures become the cause of future triumphs for those able to recognise and utilize the forces at play? Man's inhumanity to man is equalled only by the way his Higher self can rally and overcome.

Evil is not false. It is a fact of our existence. We are told that Jesus cast out demons - he didn't annihilate them but cast them out. There is a great evil at large in this world - but, as long as we are aware of this and can work to transform it, evil will never defeat good - and we can utilize the knowledge learnt to further the evolutionary development of our Higher Selves.

But, make no mistake, evil is a very real phenomenon. To the individual it can be terrifying, stultifying and tempting. To stand against anything we must first know and recognize what it is we stand against.

And, as Gillyann says, the greatest master stroke of evil is to make people believe that it is not evil.... Furthermore, if we say evil is false then good must also be false.

If we accept blindly without question, if we look no further - either into the reasons of others or into our own Inner selves - then we can become mesmerised, numbed, by "charismatic " personalities like Hitler etc. It is our Higher natures that help us break free, to see the Light, and move on.
I know evil exists in the form of spirit/entities because I have witnessed it first hand.
The same is true of good.

Love and light to all
Glenys
