RE: Development
Hello Hester
Remember there is no right or wrong way to meditate(except drucgs to relax-NO NO)
If you are getting the urge to explore youself then go with it,if it is the right time for your development you will know.
I have been given an audio hypnosis tape for relaxing and pschic development,I dont know the name or who it is by,it was sent in a file.Tried a couple of times to listen to it but i keep falling asleep so I have got the relaxing bit sorted.
Enjoy and good kuck!

Hi Hester,
I have found with meditation it is easier to stay focused when you move your focus to different meditations, for example you could learn your chakra system and meditate with your awareness through the chkras for say 10 mins than shift your focus to having a clear mind for a few mins then do something else, there are loads of meditations to learn, try and incorporate a few into a session, the most important thing is to gradually train the mind to be able to focus on a subject effortlessly. I am by no means an expert but I have noticed a vast improvement with time.
Have fun!! simon

Hi Hester,
A variety of good suggestions above. I'd say that if you are starting out, then knowledge is key perhaps more than practice - otherwise how do you know what to do or why? So again, a local library ... it might be limited in stock but it'll be a beginning once you find the right shelves.
Whatever spiritual subjects take your interest - do a google search too. There's a lot more on the net than in a library if you know where to look.
Finally, even though it may turn out not to be ideal for you, as suggested above, a local group of anything remotely similar to what you are looking for. In one group you might make contact with someone from another, etc. Personal contact really helps. I doubt that for many the spiritual path is intended to be a solitary one from beginning to end.
