RE: And the Universe provided a Wheelbarow
Great stories, good to read, thanks.
The wheelbarrow was mended by the rather beautiful young man, my neighbour and his wife are coming round for a drink on Sunday, she is pregnant and needs Pilates, he's interested in EFT, and we have enough logs to keep us warm all winter. So I now have a wheelbarrow, 2 new clients and heating.
Pretty good day! Many thanks!

Just because things happen for a reason doesnt mean its unchangable or preordained.
On the preordained or not bit, I think it is to a certain degree, within the parameters of the choices we make in our live, things can happen because they have been planned. One could argue that in fact many events in our lives have been preordained and we just see them as random because we fail to understand the significance of that spiritual lesson.
And yes the outcome can be changed, but sometimes, it may be a better option to go with the flow (to be honest, I have found that I should go with the flow more often than not as fighting something or forcing something to happen that shouldn't be seems to end up with outcomes I dislike even more than previously thought!).
RE: And the Universe provided a Wheelbarow
Just LOVED the wheelbarrow story - as others have said , the problem is remembering the instances , I have often wished that I had kept a record over the years of all these occurrences, but yes , they are so very real.
One that I do remember was reassurance , rather than a physical want. I had been feeling very dubious about my abilities in a certain area, and wondering wether I was really 'up to it'. I asked for a sign to let me know, and straight away I 'heard' look in the post '. I know from experience to let these things go, and so I forgot about it. When I next walked thro to the kitchen , past the front door, the post had been delivered. There was one letter, face down on the mat, and from the writing on the back I could see it was from a credit card company. 'Hmmph; I thought , remembering the 'look in the post ' ...... so much for my answer then , how could it possibly be in such a letter. Then I turned over the envelope and it was blank on the front , except for the words ' you can do it ! ' emblazoned across it. I was so stunned I shed a few tears - the answer had come within 15 minutes of my question. It was a real 'wow' moment. I still have the envelope.
This manifesting, which is what I believe it is ( the creative aspect of us all being stimulated to bring forth 'stuff' from the physical world ) happens to me all the time, WHEN I remember to tune my thoughts in to the correct place. It takes perseverance, but it is not difficult really. The secret is definitely gratitude - it seems to be the magical key to opening the heart, and when the heart opens with love then anything, and I mean ANYTHING is possible.
To be truly grateful in advance of receiving whatever it is you would like to have, is akin to having a magic wand.
But as the saying does go ' be careful what you wish for ' or are grateful for, because no matter how great our creative power can be, the wisdom of the Universe ( which is also the wisdom of our Higher Self, which is one and the same thing ) can sometimes bring the different versions of what we think we need !

Love the thread!
I don't know if this counts but for the last few weeks I had the feeling that it was important for the family to put in writing their 'wish list' as I called it.
My 15yr old daughter went first and on her list she had written some new bras (I hadn't realized she needed bigger sizes now!), some new tops, certain DVD's. top-up on her phone etc (typical teenage stuff). The next day we went out and had her measured up and she came home with 5 new bras!. A week later she had a phone call to say she had won a competition that she had entered at our local festival and the prize was £30 in Asda vouchers, so, the next week she bought a pair of jeans and two tops and topped up her phone!! Also, unkown to her we took out an endowmnet insurance for when she was 16 and it pays out next month, so, she can realize most of her wish list with the money she will unexpectedly be getting.
My husband thought I had gone mad when I asked what he wanted on his wish list and at first could not think of anything. With gentle prodding from us he said he wanted a DVD recorder, new trousers, a Lexus car(black with the gold 'L') and to go to a few London theatre shows( money has been very tight for both of us for the past few years so he hasn't felt that he could spend any on 'luxuries').
Well, when he got paid this month because of a lot of overtime he got paid a lot more than normal so I persuaded him to splash out a bit and get the DVD recorder as he deserved to get something for himself as he had put in the work. He was reluctant at first but got one for under a £100 so he then bought himself a new pair of trousers( because of his size he has to pay more than just off the peg ones). So, he was able to cross off a few things from his list.
My 21yr old graduate daughter had on her list to go abroad for a holiday ( Disney Land Paris for Halloween), pay off her student debts in one go, have a job at the end of her post-graduate year as a teacher and to buy her own house and pass her driving test. Her boyfriend of a year and a half phoned her the other day to say he had received an insurance cheque for an accident he had in his car a few months ago and it was more than he was expecting so to book the trip to Disney Paris!!
Me? Well the top of my list was to have a gardnener to come in and landscape the front garden and tidy up the back ready for when we put the house up for sale. To be able to decorate inside and have new carpets. To sell the house and buy one in Somerset without hassles by next August. I popped out to the shops after writing my list and when I came home there was a leaflet through my door from a local gardener/landscaper!!! I laughed when I read it and put it in my phone book just in case lol. I now have requested the money to be able to afford it so watch this space!
