The other day at my Quantum Touch course, we were talking about the Universe providing, sending out positive vibes to attract good things etc. (Personally, I've still got a big splodge of sceptism - it's softening around the edges - but it's still there! So these stories were coming out and I was thinking Yeah - but things just happen, good things, bad things.....it doesn't matter how much you pray for rain etc.. weather happens, nice people die, babies get ill, people suffer who shouldn't, and not only that but the harder I work the luckier I get etc.)
Anyway the presenter said something along these lines "Try asking the Universe for favours, and accept whatever comes. You may be tested at first - you may ask for a dinner service, and get a cracked plate - but receive gratefully, and more will come your way, and you'll get your dinner service." So food for thought.......
Anyway this morning I wake up to the sound of an electric saw - and in the next garden but one an athletic handsome young man is suspended from a tree top, sawing down some dead trees. (So firstly thank you Universe for providing this rather exciting aeronautic/acrobatic display. You never know! ).
So I say good morning to him, and ask if I can provide a home for the logs, and it's no problem, he'll pile them up in the neighbours drive. I pop round to see the neighbour, no problem, but he hasn't a wheelbarrow, and neither do I. So I said don't worry I'll borrow one from somewhere. Anyway - the nub of the story is that about 10 minutes later, I break out of my garden (On account of a stuck garden door - I have to climb over a 6ft wall and kick the door open from behind) into the woods behind to pick some blackberries - and almost immediately I find a wheelbarrow dumped there. It's broken, in several places. But it just about functions, (see cracked dinner plate analogy). So we'll see how we go with it. But I just thought I'd like to thank the Universe.
Anybody got a similar story?

RE: And the Universe provided a Wheelbarow
I have one
Between the now and the then once I got past the whole "Im a small child with different ideas in a world of social opression inside a so called democracy with a sensative heart" thing and I became more at peace with the things I grew up knewing... everything started to be handed to me on a silver platter and weird little things like this happened all the time. I knew that the "eyes" as I called them were watching close to me.
The little story that I can remember which is one of a thousand probably was when my grandmother was in the hospital a couple months before she past away. I was racing in my car down fifth ave in my hometown to get there to visit her. Visiting hours were almost up. It wasn't the greatest day, the kind of day where everyone cuts in front of you when there is plenty of space and all that. Well I got caught by a cop who likes to hang out at the taco bell on fifth ave. The speeding ticket ended up being 75 dollars. Freakin nazis.
So anyways after I got to my mother and grandmother at the hospital I told my mother if she wouldnt mind I was going to leave the car in the parking lot (There wasnt any reason for a cavalier of that model to be stolen or broken into and the lot was safe enough) I just didnt feel like driving after all that. My intuition just said "Walk home" so I followed it because I always have. Well on the way back later that evening to pick up the car I was walking down the hill of my area that connects to Rt 60 which is the main drag between one side of town to the next. I look down when I walk. Its a habit really. I look confident when necessary but Im so busy thinking when I walk that I just look straight down. I was short on money as it was. On the way down the hill I saw out of my peripheral vision a $20 bill just laying on the ground, No one was around so I assumed it had been there a while. Probably out of someones car or something.
20 bucks isnt 75 but I was talking to the universe/God as I do when I walk by myself about how I really dont have that much money. When I saw the $20 I knew it was for me and just said "Thanks" it may not have been all of it but it sure helped. So I was grateful.
But this kind of stuff happens to me a lot. Sometimes im in tune with it, other times Ive put my feelings in opposition of it but Ive always known how to use the energy transfer. It is real and it does work but it has to do with where your mind is and how well you can stay aware of it.
Just as you can attract positive things...the slightest doubt can bring on challenges that you give yourself.
But you're right, things happen. Sometimes its not just for you but for those around you as well.

And what will you do with a whole wheelbarrow set?? 😀
I think the old saying "things happen for a reason" is true. From what I've read, we are all living out our spiritual contract with the Divine (call that entity what you will), and both good and bad things happen for a reason - to teach us spiritual lessons. Sometimes we will not get the meaning of the occurence for a long while, while some are much more obvious. I have begun to accept the bad things, and try to work out what God is hinting at.
RE: And the Universe provided a Wheelbarow
Just because things happen for a reason doesnt mean its unchangable or preordained.
RE: And the Universe provided a Wheelbarow
The Universe does provide... but as always, be careful what you ask for - you may get it!!!
As usually I can't think of instances I've experienced, but one friend used to place her bills on the fridge with a 'The money will be there' thought and sure enough, it always was - and she was on benefits. Another friend has got herself a 4 by 4, a spanking new Ikea kitchen with all mod cons, a plush bathroom with black marble floor tiles , a flat screen TV... and all on a low, single-person income with no regular pay. Mind you, she has worked tirelessly for others for many years and we reckon this is her spirit wages...;)
I'm thanking the Universe for my lovely new car at the moment, and all the people who are buying my artwork! 😉 If you build an 'attitude of gratitude', it does work - but you have to really believe it inside and be accepting if what you get is not quite as advertised...
