I know there will be some on here who know heaps about astrology whereas I know nothing so I am asking for opinions please.

I recently paid for a reading over the internet whereby I was told that I have an extremely favourable transit starting on 10th September until 7th December, during this time my business will do extremely well and I am likely to win money, find a benefactor etc etc etc.......

I am a Libran, is this general for Libra or just personal to me and my birthdate, it was prepared with my birth information, only I noticed on another thread that this was not a good time.

Have I wasted my money ........ again

Hi Susanna
Astrology if its worth its salt should be personal to you, rather than all Librans. You will have to wait and see how it pans out - I hope it does as it sounds quite good. did they mention what the transit was?

Hi Binah, thanks for your reply. It was literally described as a favourable transit nothing else. It was prepared to my birth time and date.

A long time ago I used to do professional astrology for a living, I used to always inform the client 'what the aspect was' if I had cause to mention it affecting them. A "good" astrologer in my opinion should do likewise. Not only does it add some credibility (removing the astrologer from the image of a psychic or medium - and emphasizing the information is based on analysis of actual physical phenomena) it gives the client the opportunity of a second opinion, should they desire one. Hypothetically speaking, the client may have their progressed moon crossing their descendant - signifying a change of relationship in either business or personal affairs. This may or may not actually occur (depending upon other factors) but the client, knowing exactly the (jargon) title of the aspect allows them to seek another astrologer's opinion.

If you were not told, you wouldn't know and thus you are asking advice of those here that may indeed be able to advise you - but we can't because you weren't told! It's a 'catch22'...

My best advice is, hold your cash closely and only give it where you really have faith in the astrologer (ideally through recommendation). Some astrologers can be very accurate; predicting events virtually to the minute six months in advance... even ten years away. "Others" charge a chunk of cash and disappear fast with little or poor advice provided.

It is a specialist field - there are many and varied avenues within the subject; prediction is one of 15 or maybe more roads within the field. It's not easy, it takes time to learn and maybe that's the first major hurdle - too many people too quickly trying to do work for a client when they themselves are inexperienced in the subject.

A.
