I saw this in paper today
A BRITISH-led team has found a lost city of the Incas using hi-tech infrared cameras.
Liactapata is just two miles from the famous Incan city of Machu Picchu, Peru, which 500,000 tourists visit each year.
Bristol-basec explorer Hugh Thomson 43, made the new discovery 9,000ft up an Andes montain.
He said infra-red equipment made his task a lot easier. He said: "you can simply see the ruins through the camera."
Thomson thinks Liactapata was an important ceremonial site.It was abandoned about 500 years ago when Incas fled the Spanish Conquistadors.
yet another discovery.

RE: Lost city's in picture
Thank you, Lightwinds!
This is very CooL!! I find this kind of thing very intriguing. What's really surprising is that it hasn't been discovered before this, being so close to a popular tourist site and all. Wouldn't you just LOVE to be an archeologist. I think it sounds like a blast!
Peace,
