I think "you" missed out the "you" In all of that . 😀

It was implicit in the Me... I thought Me would know that...

Hi cactuschris,

Don't we/me/us/I (arrgh, small print) start as a whole/expanded consciousness and become divided by conditioning?

Exactly.

A "singularity" seems to imply one that is seperate. In advaita teachings of non duality, the term advaita actually means "not one". So, we are not a singularity, we are ALL, and as you say WS, our mind divides us and creates the duality with which we have become familiar.

Yes, That's what I meant Energylz... so as babies we are still directly connected to Source (or whatever you choose to call it)... and, as babies, still perceiving non-seperateness... but gradually being grounded into the duality... as we develop cognitively.

Hi Energylz,
Haaa- the old duality thing again. I have never seen the problem with being a separate part of a whole - I think this occurs all around us as examples. Each of us is in a physical body, a liver is part of the body, it operates separately and in line with the body, we are all individuals that make up part of the whole, we operate separately as part of the whole, all is connected and differentiated within the whole, but is still part of the whole.

Hi Energylz,

previously...

No way - Life with a capital L, is about all of us, our own individual life is part of the Life, and so we cannot just take the selfish view that 'we' are the only ones that matter

Considering yourself as seperate is to act in a selfish manner (not selfish in a derogatory sense, but selfish as in not in consideration of the universe as a whole).

- I think this occurs all around us as examples. Each of us is in a physical body, a liver is part of the body, it operates separately and in line with the body, we are all individuals that make up part of the whole, we operate separately as part of the whole, all is connected and differentiated within the whole, but is still part of the whole.

The mind loves to segregate things and create duality... this.. and that. But, by your own beliefs (on t'other threads), you say that everything about us dies and comes back and nothing is destroyed as it's an ongoing "journey". Nothing is ever seperate from the whole, it's just that our mind gives us the perception that it is.

If true seperateness existed, then nothing would ever interact and existence would cease to be.... one nueron seperate from another, firing by itself, never to effect anything else. "seperate" and "part of" are mutually exclusive. Of course you believe in everything being One, by your own description, yet you, or rather your mind, fights for corner of duality.

All Love and Reiki Hugs
