I agree. The pill can really mess you up if you take it for a long time. I'd say anything abnormal for you should be checked out. Not worth messing around with your health in this area.

Pill trouble

The body changes all the time. What may have suited you before, might not suit you now but there are many to choose from. Talk to your doc about your options. Googled and found a list here.

The original post was made more than 4 years ago, and I'm afraid I would never advise anyone to deal with on-line prescribing.

Speaking as a registered pharmacists NOBODY should buy medicines on-line.. You don't know what you are getting.

The OCP is actually not as risky as some people believe - and certainly pregnancy is also risky but certain health checks are needed to make sure it is doesn't cause harm

Er, I must be the exception to the rule, I have been on the same Pill for 24 years, (combined) never any problems, periods light, like clockwork, pain free, no mood swings. Hasn't messed me up at all! 🙂

I used the pill with no problems - but not for as long as you. 24 years is long time. I hope you are having the regualr health checks 🙂

I was on the Progesterone only Pill for 10 years... I've been off it now for 4 years and my periods are still not right. The only solution offered to me by my GP is to go on the pill again...hmmm no thanks that's what got me into this situation in the first place.

Online pills

A while ago people were saying to beware of online sources for pills but I have been doing it and so does my husband as we live remotely and it's a great servce, the one we use. But there are plenty out there. Once they are regulated by the necessary health regulators, it's totally legit and all that info is usually on the main web page. Some are terrible but there quite a few popular and reputable ones around. I decided on mine by going to The Online Clinic review site. You can have your say after your experience too to help everyone else.

It's kind of irrelevent now but since the services were getting a bad rap, I thought I'd chime in with my view on it. It's the medicine of the future! seriously.
