I have been suffering with terrible PMT for years, there was a time when l had extremly heavy periods with awful pain, l suffered with that for years but now l don't get periods, have not had one for about a year but l still suffer the symtoms, weeping, sadness, anger, anxiety, bloating, tender breasts and nausea, even my AD's don't help at that time of the month so l know it's natural to feel like that, l have just started taking evening pimrose oil (which helped straight away) and also l brought some B6 vits for my moods, l have been reading the post on womans health and seen that people are recommending starflower oil, would l get that from the health shop? l guess it's more expencive than primrose oil? if it's stronger than primrose oil it's got to be worth a shot, it's just l am on a low budget but if l have to l will do anything to relieve my symtoms.
Hi Shaz,
Obviously I'm treading in an area that I'm no expert in :D, but I believe that starflower oil may be beneficial as you say. Also, I believe Agnus Castus is good for period pains.
I don't have the web link to hand at the moment and can't find it from work, but if you google for WorldWideShoppingMall (I think it's www.worldwideshoppingmall.com or .co.uk) then the first shop on the right hand side is something like the Body and Soul shop. If you go in there you can find many of the vitamins and supplements at decent prices as well as good write ups for each product about what it can be used for as well as each thing being clearly marked as to whether it's vegetarian or not (if that matters to you). If I recall correctly, I think the delivery is free and I know they are usually very quick to deliver on things they have in stock (which you can easily tell from the screen).
Hope that's of assistance.
Love and Reiki Hugs
Hi Shaz
yes I can vouch for starflower oil, it's up to 5x stronger than EPO. Holland and Barrett sell capsules of it.
You may also like to try hemp oil, which is sold by Tesco's as a cooking oil.
I tried Maca root powder tablets as i was having pains in my legs too, unbearable pains, this was recommended and i thought i would give it a go, its great, i havent had those pains since i started taking it.

Period should not, must not be painful.
It is nothing more than a bit of blood your body discars.
If your period were painfull that mean you have a problem in this aera.
This problem might be situated only on an energetic level.
Pain is one of the first symptom to help us focus (stop) on something.
Painful periods are underestimated and treated as normal.
I think that is just wrong.
Any woman can have unpainfull periods. That is the way they intend to be.
The pain simply came from a deep unbalance who can be rooted as far as childhood.
Suffering women have to find what is linked to the umbalanced to remove any painfull part of their periods.

this is just a quick temporay fix, but it takes my pain away instantly. theres an acupressure point right above your nostrils, use the knuckles of your pointer finger and press firmly there (you will know it when you find it, because it will be quite painful) but contiunue to massage/press that area for a few minutes. you should also try marjoram essential oil. (massaged into your abdomen a few times a day)
If you're going to take Starflower Oil, I would take some Oil of Evening Primrose also.
The essence of Moonstone is fantastic for periods and for regulating emotions during this time. A very feminine crystal and works directly on women's issues.
