RE: PMS

PMS is a very complex issue, in that there may be many factors that come together that ultimately cause the symptoms.

I've often thought that this should be called Peri Menstrual Syndrome, as there is great variation in the pattern. Some suffer more before, during &/after menstruation.

If there's abdominal bloating & pain then there's likely tobe congestion & inflammation, so keeping moving as best you can. Bed rest is very much a last resort. [:'(]

The most common causes of headache & migraines, I would say are an upper neck problem, but if it's further aggravated by food then you may find that food sensitivities/ intolerance or allergies, may well be a further contributing factor.

I would take a look at the threads on Womens Health, Allergies & other threads under Head & Neck Problems & see which you think may be the best way forward. 😉

And.

RE: PMS

Hiya
Headaches/migranes around the period are quite often caused by an inbalance of hormones,...I have a client with this and her oestrogen levels do not drop when they are suppposed to....she has regular reflexology and when she is do we also do a quick upper shoulder and neck massage and whilst this has not completely eliminated the problem it has eased it tremendously to the point where she can get on with life.......severity and frequency have decreased....

Hope that helps

RE: PMS

Hi,

Thanks alot to both of you Anahata and Tigerbee, I was thinking of reflexology
myself. So I must give it a try. I'm sure it will help me.

Thanks a lot.

RE: PMS

I used to have very bad pms as a child and noticed it coming back recently. I found that taking evening Primrose oil capsules has helped this.
