I am just starting the change, and was determined that I was going to do this naturally.
Unfortunatly though, my blood test has also reveled that I have high blood calcium levels and my GP suspects I have hyperparathyroidism. Although he didnt insist, he recommended that I take prescribed HRT for at least three months while this is investigated to protect my bones from damage.
I know the natural remedies are helpful in reducing menopausal symptoms such as flushes, but does anyone know how effective they are at protecting bone density? I would still rather go with a natural product if I can.
RE: natural HRT
The main problem with HRT is that you can't take it forever. And when you do stop, your bone density deteriorates alarmingly quickly. There's a book called New Natural Alternatives to HRT (which I leant to my doctor 3 months ago and could really do with getting back [8D]) which gives you pretty much all the information you need.
