well to keep it brief
irregular periods for 6 years (peri??)
then none for 2 years, (menopausal??)
one arrived in October followed by another last Christmas
and yes the scarlet lady has arrived again one week early, but think I will set her a place at the dining table, in case she stays awhile.......think she must like my OHs Christmas dinners!! I'll have to start naming my annual period Mary (Christmas) perhaps;)
never really had a straight answer from the doctors if I am peri menopausal or what????
is this womb dancing of mine the norm ...... anyone any ideas.......anyone???
I'll accept answers from the gents as well :p
yes, mine was very simular until it drained me so much the doctor booked me into day surgery, had a little more than a d.n c,and if that dident work expect THE BIG ONE thankfully no probs for 2yrs,so as i am 60 that should be that, ask your doctor mine went on for 8wks befor i acted.
Sorry I haven't any answers for you Fleur, but I did like your description - Scarlet Lady :p.
All I can say is the fewer the better? 😉 Always inconvenient whenever they arrive.
Maybe it happens at Christmas time because it's not just the Scarlet Lady but a dozen red suited Christmas elves in tow as well!

feels like it......and making me a bit dopey and grumpy and sleepy, and not snow white anymore :022:
Thanks Carol,
I have been to the doctors loads in the past and never really got anywhere.............he made me feel a bit like a hypochondriac so gave up then when they eventually stopped (or so I thought ) just assumed I had finished. I got a new doctor who finally acknowledged the menopause and if I have another I am to go back..........just a check up.
I Knew one was on its way though, havn't been as weepy touchy, or had such chocolate cravings since last year........just proves to me its the hormones that's responsible for the choccy fix. and how can I resist the chocs when they are reproducing at breakneck speed at this time of year 🙂

Well here is one way of looking at it fleur.....Winter is a time of change, we get rid of unneeded items ready for the coming year to start afresh.
Maybe you can think of it as a gift:eek:, you are physically discarding all your old tensions and worries as a woman ready for the new year ahead.
Mind you, that is probably a load of old Cirrus-rubbish again. But go with the shedding I say, in all aspects!
All power to your.....ermmmmm.....womanhood!
Onwards and upwards, well maybe upwards isn't literally correct in this aspect but you know what I mean. 🙂
This is for you fleur, hope you feel strong and powerful again soon:

But then again, thats food for thought Rachel..........perhaps she is the gift I need........cleansing and all that...perhaps I should be a wise woman and utilise this special time for a bit of deep cleansing meditations.........mmmmm
thanks for the rose by the way.........shes beauty.
Crikey.....thats the 1st time I have ever managed a multi quote and it worked way haaayyy.....:045:
Pity I can't remember how I did it.........oh yes its a menopausal thread isnt it.........I forget things too :021:

Yes but fleur have you ever had it where:
In this case my sister rang me up and said to pop down for a cuppa. I agreed and said I would be there in 5 minutes.
So I disconnected the call went downstairs (was upstairs cleaning the bathroom) went into the kitchen put the kettle on, made a cuppa and a sandwich and put the telly on.
My sister rang 20 minutes later and asked where I was. I was surprised and said I was sitting down having a drink and having a bite to eat. She started laughing, I asked what was so funny and she said "You've forgotten, haven't you?"
"Forgotten what?" I replied.
Well, when she reminded me of what I had forgotten I spilt my cuppa through laughing so much.:rollaugh:
Now I can't quite remember why I was telling this story but....Oh yes, you mentioned forgetting things.

Ha ha - I identify with the memory loss too................what was I going to say?
Oh yes - mine have been very irregular in the past three months, and from having a cycle of about 21 days, I went almost 6 weeks in October and nothing happened............and I thought I just might be pregnant! Aaargh! My youngest is 18 and I have a 3 year old grandaughter!
I told my son's gf : they are getting married in June, and then she said she also had had a scare! We would both have been ready to pop at her wedding, bride and mother-in-law. Imagine the wedding pictures.
TBH I had quite gotten used to the idea and was a little disappointed when the scarlet lady (very good Fleur, I like that!) came calling.
Poor memory.........shall I admit to this story I wonder...........yeah why not.
Only a couple of weeks ago OH came in the kitchen, and took out my morning mug of tea from the fridge:eek:, and he asked why I had put it there.
............and actually expected me to know the answer............
I just pretended I had put it in there deliberately, and cooling it down so I could drink it fast before I tootled off to work....somehow I don't think he believed me......:o:p
I keep forgetting things too Fleur and I'm definitely not having the menopause. I keep looking for another excuse!
Yesterday at work I commented on how quiet the roads were for a Monday, no-one told me it was actually Sunday, they just looked at me like I was an idiot. Hmph, thanks friends!
Well my dear sister who is further along the road to The Scarlet Lady's sisters house, Brittle Bernadette's!
Once had a dreadful nights sleep. You know, hot sweats, tossing and turning then up in the morning, feeling something similar to a Catherine Wheel and couldn't find her glasses.
She searched high and low. She became very frustrated and shouted for her two kids to come and help her find them. They both came running to see what all the commotion was about and my sister became tearful as she explained she couldn't find her glasses.
Her two kiddies looked at each other in confusion and then said to my sister, "Try looking on your face!"
Yes...she had them perched on her nose all the time.

I do that with my glasses - last week I had two pairs pushed up on top of my head and went looking for them...............

is forgetfulness a woman thing or do you think that men just don't admit to it:015:
