I've had 5 in total. The last I had under a local anaesthetic as I didn't want a general about 5-6 years ago, so I now know what actually happens in the operating theatre! I think the only problems I have ever really had has been with the gas that they used to inflate the stomach and with a bit of bruising. If you can get hold of a hot water bottle and some peppermint water I found they helped, but really its a fairly "routine" op, so I wouldn't worry and you can't see where they went in.

Yes it does Funnybunny Ive been getting worked up over it.The main thing is going under general anaesthetic.Do you know of any remedies I could take that will lessen the impact of a general?

Hiya sarahlouise. Hope every fink went k with your op. I had one in feb.. i was soo scared to go in a first.. all i can remember is the pain i was in wen i woke up which was a bumma 🙁 .. Hope u didnt av much pain thou and diagnosed u x
