Hi guys,
just looking for a little advice really.
I am 36 and after the birth of my son (who is now 7) my periods became irregular - sometimes I'd get them (very slight bleeding and lasting only a few days) other times they are more regular and 'normal'; however this last month I have had two periods; a light one lasting a few days and a much heavier one a week later, lasting 10 days. Would like to know what other people think of this. I have told my GP but he glossed over it and doesn't seem to think it's worth noting in my folder...Thanks for reading.

Sharon 🙂

Hi Sharon,

Sounds like all your hormones have gone out of sync since you had your son. Are your periods really painful? Did you have trouble concieving? were they fine before your son? It may be worth getting an ovulation test to find out exactly when you are ovulating and then you can look at natural treatments such as herbs or nutrients to rebalance your cycle.

ive had irregular periods for nearly 2 yrs. i had my daughter 2.5 yrs ago. up to then mine were regular and like clockwork most of the time - give or take a day or 2, lol. wen she was 7mnths i found out i was preg again, and as we werent ready for another- didnt have own place or anything, we decided it was best to terminate. since then they've been really irregular. sometimes i get them once a month as normal, then other times i can go 2-4 months without one. they've been a lot lighter and shorter the last few times too.
i know how u feel, it can be annoying cant it? especially as we are thinkin of having another baby in the next yr or so.
i dont know y it is either, but ive not been to my docs about it. maybe they can give u something to help? wen i was younger i had really heavy periods, so the doc gave me something to take wen i was due on to make them lighter.

thanks for all your replies.
Yes,hallos, I am really stressed at the moment - lots of changes in my life but didn't realise this could effect my menstural cycle ...!:)

Will be getting my smear test done next week, so this should put my mind at rest. Have been taking Evening Primrose Oil for four months now but haven't really noticed anything different.

Thank you for all your replies- I am very grateful.
love
Sharon

Essence of moonstone is very good for balancing the hormones.

Hello Again,
Moonstone would really help. Yes stress can do all sorts of funny things to are body.
You should be taking 1000/2000 mg a day for evening primrose.
Try having time out for yourself each day even if its 10 mins...just make it me time....it really will make a differance....plus lots of holistic treatments:)
Take care

You can take it under the tongue or in water.
