I had a full Hysterectomy at the age of 43and have been on HRT for six years now,
I had no problems with early menopause, but a friend told me that HRT just delays the symptoms of the menopause and when I come off in 4 years even though I will be 53 by I will still get all the symptoms.

Anyone know if this true:)

I'm no expert but a bit of anecdotal evidence: one of my clients told me she was on HRT for years (she was very much in favour) and since she came off it, she has suffered some menopausal symptoms. So, for example, at 59 she sometimes has hot flushes. On balance, though, she seems pleased with the overall effect.
