I'm having a tubal ligation and I've heard a lot of horror stories...has anyone ever had trouble after having their tubes tied?

I was sterilized last year I has my tubes clipped. I was terrified before I had the op.
All the worries I had kept entering my mind, I kept thinking of all the things that could go wrong.
It's just over a year that I had it done and it's one of the best things I have ever done, when it was all over I couldn't believe how easy it was.
Try and relax and stop listening to other peoples horror stories. 😉

Actually, I'm quite scared...but mainly of the IV. I've had them before (like when I had my kids) but I swear, I'd rather they clunked me over the head to knock me out than give me the IV. I was hoping for gas...guess they don't really do that much anymore.

[sm=wave.gif] I had a tubal after giving birth to my second child the day after to be exact. I don't regret it at all, I felt a little tender, and could not lift anything very heavy for few days, but the pain was surely not extreme. Plus the doctor will most certainly give you a pain killer prescription the will help aleviate any soreness you may have.
Don't be afraid ..Just go for it. It's completly worth it![sm=hidesbehindsofa.gif]

Well, all done. Luckily the IV was done well and didn't hurt at all. The whole thing went well and my hubby stayed home today to take care of the kids...woo hoo! Rest!
