I have a bit of an embarrassing problem since starting to take some new medication last year.
One of the side effects appears to be increased sweating. As long as I do nothing strenuous there is no problem, but all I have to do is climb the stairs at work or walk to the shop to buy some lunch and not only do I feel like I have been sweating under my arms, I feel quite damp "downstairs".
The underarms, I can cope with by deoderants etc but the other area is not so easy. It sometimes feels like I have come on without realising or something. I wear panty liners everyday but still have to change my underwear during the day and cant wear trousers that may show a damp patch.
Any suggestions would be much appreciated!!
Going through the same thing (menopause - or menostop in my case - for the past 8 years) - and have been known to leave damp patches in embarrassing places! I now wear cotton underwear, rarely wear tights, loose fitting trousers and panty liners, which I have to change periodically throughout the day.
is it definitely dampness from sweating? it could be a vaginal discharge, some mild infections such as BV can produce a very profuse watery discharge that a short course of antibiotics can resolve.
