Sorry about the strange title however im unsure how to describe my symptoms.

Started having twinges on the lower left side of my belly button in January, no pain as such just an awareness of a slight uncomfortable feeling. Tried tablets for trapped wind usual stuff etc.
Went to docs twice in February as it hadnt gone and I did at first think it was a water infection then I thought it was connected to my digestive system and now Ive given up.

I feel a bit of a fraud as its not pain but more of an uncomfortable presence which doesnt feel right, a bit like a pulled muscle, sort of a twinge when I move.

Doctor carried out full blood/urine tests - All clear.

Over the last month I have noticed it now feels like someone is pressing my lower left 'Belly' and its also radiates lower down in the 'Gyno' area, it tends to be when Im either sitting down at work or moving from a sitting to standing position or even just lying in bed, the sensation just seems to come and go without any pattern.

Im back at the docs tomorrow. Any advice would be appreciated as its been going on for 3 months?
Just to add I have no other side effects toilet/period etc although I have had a bit of stressful time recently

Hiya

I wonder if you're right and it is a pulled muscle, or maybe a herniated one? There are quite a few layers of muscle in the abdominal area. Maybe go back to the doc and suggest this?

Thanks for your prompt respose Chris, this was one of the Docs suggestions back in Feb.
He said would need to do a 'Process by elimination' really...How is a herniated muscle diagnosed is it the same as a disk as Ive had a back op ? (scan x-ray etc?)

I suppose Im concerned as it now seems lower down and I feel like something is pressing inside my cervix/pelvic floor ? area and wondered if it could be Ovarian related....

I know...I have no idea where anything is 'inside' 😉

Hiya

I think you need to go back to your doc and work with him as he eliminates what it isn't! Worry only makes it worse.

Cheers

This could well be an ovarian cyst, is the pain getting worse? is it worse with your period? an ultrasound scan would determine this, ask your doctor to refer you.

Thanks Chris - Ive Been referred for an Ultrasound

Sleepygirl - No the pain doesnt get worse as its not painful to start with, its a twinge/pressing feeling. The nearest thing i would liken it to is a stitch....just comes and goes.
