Lately I noticed that my skin and eyes were always red, especially under bright lights,no matter how much sleep I had.I also drink lots of water and eat a very healthy diet with lots of fruit and veg.I purchased some vitamin E supplements as I felt I may have needed an antioxidant and after only 2 days the whites of my eyes are soo white and my skin is much clearer,I can also now read better without glasses. My question is do I need to stay on these or is vitamin E stored in your body.
I don't know how much you are taking Star. 200mg of vitamin E as a daily dose is fine, but better taken with vit C which they interact with, by recycling each other. on their own they can become pro-oxidant. All vits and mins work synergistically, so taking individual nutrients is not always beneficial. It is important to take the natural form (d-alpha-tocopherol) and not the synthetic form (dl-alpha-tocopherol). Zinc and selenium enhance absorption and function of Vit E. It is vital for the protection of all cell membranes from becoming rancid!
As a fat-soluble vitamin any excess will be stored in the body, usually the liver.

Vitamin E for eczema?
[COLOR="DarkOrchid"]Has anyone ever heard about using vitamin E as a treatment for eczema? I keep hearing about people using it to treat their eczema but I'm still kinda skeptical about it. :p
Vitamin E is also important in the formation of red blood cells and it helps the body to use vitamin K. Vitamin E, a fat-soluble vitamin, protects vitamin A and essential fatty acids from oxidation in the body cells and prevents breakdown of body tissues.
Vitamin E is good for proper skin and hair growth. Scalp hair are very essential for looking beautiful for a woman and handsome for a man, however it cannot help to prevent hair loss...which can be treated through hair transplant technique..
