been to the hosp today, and told me that my kidney stone was entirely meade up of the above chemical. most are nade of calcium oxalate, but mine is rare. apparently it is congenital as well. does anybody know anything about this.

Cystine - off top of head - is an amino acid, though not sure if it's 'essential'.
It sounds like you may have a genetic predipostition to being unable to metabolise it properly, so the body rejects what it's unable to assimillate.
The common type of stone will show on plain X-ray, whereas these won't.
As to improving your chances of assimilating it, then it may be worth reading up on NAET. Long shot, but may improve things and reduce the likelyhood of them returning.
