Age of depression, it existences always relates to work, relationship, and the capacity of the individually. The problems point out that when human mind having a lot of emotional thought playing or spinning in their head.
a) what if....., it won't happen
b) i could not do that because i am.....
Human being awarded with such "intelligent" mind tends to forget that each of us is actually learning everyday from young until old.
Let's see an example.
A baby trying to stand, but fail and starts to cry. Parents tends to comfort the baby. The only think baby could understand and feels is the comforting methods coming from the parents.
However, for adults, when facing with the fails or such uncomfortable or unhappiness, no one is there to comfort or to open up their mind that it is actually ok for fails or falls and learn from it. Adult is actually complicating themselves as compare to the baby stage.
The effective way to overcome this situation is quite simple. To divert the attention from this into that, just like a baby crying, we all need to distract the attention of the baby.
If a baby is crying.....would you tell the baby
a) you should cry more or
b) this is what happen, blame yourself
c) i have no time for this, cry whatever you want
d) shut up. don't cry in front of me
e) why don't you listen...
instead...
a) there is a dog over there...how cute she is
b) i sing a song for you
c) play this small piano
d) let's play game or puzzle
e) see, sesame street big bird is teaching A, B, C, D, E, F, G....
These two groups of brought up children would tends to be quite different in adult, where loves and care for the old parents become the 'karma' where first how it get started.
Handled it carefully....or else there is no one left for the young or the adults to take care of the old one.
