Feeling inclined to start reducing the amitriptyline medication see what happens.

Just my personal opinion but following so many bad experiences, I am inclined to stay well away from Doctor's and traditional medication of any kind.

Hope you feel on top form very soon.

Couldn't agree more. They drive me crazy, they say there is no cure for my headaches they don't know the cause and they can only treat it with prophylactics. I don't like accepting this is just how it is, there has to be a reason for chronic pain.

They also have never helped me with regards my periods either, they fob me off each time I ask them about it. So I'm dealing with that on my own too. Researching herbs that could help. I'm having much more progress this way, but it would have been nice if they had tried to find out what was wrong. Sometimes wish I would just go through the menopause to have an end to all the issues I have with my cycle (I'm only 35).

Hi Meadowsweet - (the hedgerows are full of meadowsweet just now - when I see it I think of you!)

Sorry to hear about your headaches and PMS.

As nothing else has been found to cause your headaches, it is highly likely (in my opinion) that you are reacting to a food or drink you are consuming. No matter that it is 'healthy' or organic or whatever, if you have developed IgG reaction to it, that may be the cause. You could try the indicator test (£9.99) and if it proves positive then the full tast will tell you exactly what the problem/s is/are. An excellent explanatory booklet comes with the test results plus phone support afterwards.

As for the PMS, have you tried taking magnesium? It could make all the difference. Magnesium is needed to allow muscles to relax, so when the uterus is expelling it's lining it can cramp with considerable discomfort. It also allows the blood vessels to relax too and could help reduce headaches. [DLMURL="http://www.tesco.com/direct/nutri-ltd-cal-mag-citrate-90-tablets/695-7818.prd?pageLevel=&skuId=695-7818&kpid=695-7818&sc_cmp=ppc_g__&gclid=CIuJxe-mw7gCFfHKtAodfDoACg"]This[/DLMURL] is a good combination.

Low zinc levels may also be a cause - zinc is needed to make and balance hormones among many other things. I've had spectacular success in someone's PMS with zinc supplement (but she showed other signs of low zinc too). You can buy Vit C 1000 and zinc 15 mg at £1.95 for 20 (3 for 2) at Tesco and other stores but apparently not online just now. You can also pay up to £20 for the same thing!!!

Agnus castus may be helpful too - see here.

If these strategies don't work, please consult a registered Nutritional Therapist.

Hope you get sorted soon. Love and Light

Thanks Caroline,

The meadowsweet is lovely isn't it, I'm quite attached to the little plant, there is a little patch at the bottom of my field which I keep saying hello to.

I will look at the test and decide whether to give it a try. I do have some food intolerances and stress is a big factor in my headaches. I don't avoid certain food groups but do limit the amount where I know there is a trigger. I'm still learning on this one though.

I'm having magnesium baths 2-3 times a week and have found that they are really helping, I also take additional supplements of magnesium leading up to the end of my cycle. I'm also taking Agnus castus (to balance my hormones) during the 2nd half of my cycle and also Feverfew (for the cramps) when they start. Will have to look into Zinc also see if that makes a further difference.. Things are gradually improving so I think I'm on the right track. My PMS and periods have been an issue for nearly 7 years now so I guess it will take a little time to get myself back to what I term normal. lol.

Is there any possibility that you could get away?

I was almost crippled at one point and was getting trigger point injections every two weeks and epidurals every six months and darvicet 3 times a day ( darvicet is no longer on the market in my country now, but it was the only drug I could take with no reaction or side effects). I get it....

When I didn't see my pain management doctor for a few months he asked what was the change. I got a divorce.

Now I don't recommend this as a cure for chronic pain but it worked for me because it alleviated tons TONS of stress. My x husband had retired and started drinking and gambling on a regular basis. I gave him 2 years to adjust to retirement but it was a lost cause.

Is there any stress that can be removed from your life? The only other thing I can think of to remove some of this suffering is to go to psychic or shaman to get a diagnosis. Or both?

If only, I find myself in a position that I can't see an end to it currently I just have to plod on no matter how difficult or painful it gets. I am very stressed at the moment and my headaches are certainly triggered by stress. I am not able to wind down. I run my own business and my working week is probably averaging 60-80 hours. I'm creating the only income into the home and I just don't seem to be making any savings to keep us afloat when I'm between contracts. As a sideline, I'm trying to sell the house we can't live in because of the neighbours, and now trying to keep on top of the bills for two properties. My husband cannot find work and I've been employing him myself to give him something to do, mainly driving me to the airport, keeping the animals alive and scanning of documents for my files. I haven't had a holiday away in like forever. My husband is depressed but won't deal with it so I have him dosed with a variety of herbal remedies to keep me sane, but he's currently being quite controlling and demanding. So a lot going on and I have to keep carrying on. To add to this my family are growing more elderly and frail and I'm attending a great-Aunts funeral tomorrow, my mum is struggling obviously and I am currently the family rock to bring a smile to their faces when they start to get upset as another family member leave this earth to the next. Being an empath means I pick up on everything and everyone, so its a bit tough.

And..... Breathe. lol

You said you felt something when I visited. Would you like me to visit again? I would see it as a privilege to help comfort a healer. I don't know what I will feel like doing when I get there. But if you give me permission I will come.

I admire that you have not colapsed under the weight of all this. But your body is certainly giving you a message.

I did something once. I asked for a day off. I asked the universe to not give me any problems, any psychic experience or growth for a day. I got it. A day with no problems, no phone calls, no feelings from others. It was amazing. BUT...too funny...the next day my left hand hurt; the entire palm really hurt. My daughter called me and words came out of my mouth "Did Deacon (her son) hurt his hand? She put him on the phone and he told my about his baseball game and how anouther player stepped on his palm with cleats. VOICEMAIL from the universe. Ha Ha Ha...it let me have my day off and then let me have my conection the next day.

So I got my day off and I didn't miss anything. How unbelievably amazing is that. They hear us. They will give us a reprieve. You are a valuable resource for the universe and you have a mission. It will support you...unless there is a valuable lesson for you to learn here?

We learn a valuable lesson in suffering. In a reiki treatment someone else was giving me; I heard that my pain would never go away; it was to give me empathy. So apparently I asked to learn empathy in this lifetime.

In your weakest moments. ..what do you hear? In the quite as you are waking up, or sifting off to sleep. ..what do you hear?

You did not ask my opinion about your husband... but if you give him an out (having him work for you) it could encourage weakness, dependence and anger in him. Anger turned inward is depression. I'd say "Go out. You may not get the job you want or qualified for or in your field; but you can get work if you want it. You can be productive in any economy. You can be productive with any disability. Even the paralyzed can do phone work."

I had a husband that didn't work. I bought him a newspaper and told him not to come home with out a job. He came home with 3 that he had to choose between. But he eventually found reasons not to work again and I left him. I had 2 little children and I thought "how can I do this without a husband?" Ha! it was so much easier than with him.

If one partner is amazingly strong in a crisis it allows the other to slip into an unnatural role. I'm sorry if this offends. Please discard it if it doesn't apply, some one else may need to read this. It may not be for you :001:

Let me know if you want me to visit again.
