Yes of course I know that acceptance is different from working on an issue jnani! That's a no brainer! (Where did I imply otherwise?) Working on an issue deals with the root cause and thus enables healing so the dubious stability of just accepting a situation is overriden.

I have done a lot of "letting go" in my life, i.e. rather than subject myself to a problem I couldn't solve. However, I don't think you are taking on board the entrenched/ingrained nature of the problem this member faces. Your solution requires a massive leap of faith, trust in self which is blatantly lacking . There first needs to be some bolstering of confidence, some paving the way in order to stand a chance of succeeding with such a method.

Hi Amy, this might be terminology, but you appear to be saying that rather than healing something that you do not understand, you have chosen to reject it (letting go) so that it goes out of your conscious awareness?

Please consider that all of these problems surround self and we can't heal anything by utilising rejection, rejection will always create more judgemental divisional conflicts that will at some point resurface and need to be dealt with, we heal a division which creates conflict through acceptance which creates wholeness, granted there is more to it than that when healing someone but acceptance is the first step towards becoming healed.

You are probably right that its no use asking someone to run when they have trouble walking.
I'm not sure what the answerer is, confidence is such a delicate thing and can take a long time to acquire, and yet can be so easily lost.

No you have misunderstood what I said. I have let go of some situations that I could not RESOLVE, i.e. I understood the situation but it was something that was out of my hands, e.g. loving someone too much that was not beneficial to me. I let go of the attachment to that feeling. Not about rejection but a loosening of that tie...

Yes of course acceptance is the first step to healing. I believe I have said this in a previous post. Acceptance by itself though is not sufficient. For example, with alcoholism, admitting you are an alcoholic is just a preliminary step to the stages involved in the cure.

That is all right then Amy, it is not the first time or the last time that our words are not at first understood by others; yes we do need to get rid of our judgemental ties to situations and others, but that has more to do with getting rid of the associated divisional conflict than anything else, mind you we still need to accept them before we can do anything about them though. 🙂

There is no way you could know that leap of faith cannot happen....the original poster mentions a journey of 28 years behind her. that is sufficient paving of way.

You are right. I did assert it like it was a fact but that is after I had fully understood the words in the OP i.e. several references to this problem being deep rooted anxiety and she says she has lack of self worth, self esteem and self love.... So, in the 28 years, she clearly has not managed yet to empower herself!

Hence I think the odds of it happening, like you say it can, are heavily stacked against it in terms of probability. I hope I am wrong. Miracles can happen when intent and self belief are sufficiently aligned.

Hi Richard, Dez put this up on facebook, if you replace the field, spirit/super consciousness with the oneness of consciousness and put our consciousness out side of the body where it belongs, then you will have a scientific explanation that is similar to my own understanding of how we create our own life experience and general state of health and wellbeing by the environment we set up within our aspects of consciousness. 🙂

It is 2.5 hours long, but worth the time invested with expanded understanding. 😉
