Hey. I have had this problem for years now yet I'm just 17. After I urinate I...'leak', if that makes sense. It's as if I carry on dripping for at least half an hour.

Also, I think there is something wrong with my foreskin, but I can't see exactly what because as far as I remember it has always been like this. 🙁

I'm really scared I may have cancer of some sort or else some very serious 'disease'.

It totally ruins any social life I should haveand somedays I have dark thoughts of suicide and ending this absolute disaster.

Throughout the years I have been too embarrased to tell anyone and you, a public internet forum, is the first to hear of my problem.

Please help, has anyone else experienced this? I am too embarrased to tell anyone and I feel more and more alienated as the months and years pass.

🙁

Hi Mike, go to the doctor if you really are afraid that you may have Cancer, don't sit there typing worries on a screen ! The quicker you are looked at, the better you will be.

However, and I'm not saying it is, only a Doctor can diagnose. But it may be if your foreskin is a little long you may collect a drop of urine just inside and this is the bit that dribbles out, suggestion.... after you pee pull the skin back gently and dab with toilet paper. You'll need to keep yourself very clean in that region if it is over long foreskin too. ;)lyn

Hi Mike

You really should go to the doctor if your concernend!!! However I would ditto what Lyn says my little boys foreskin is too long and is also tight so he tends to dribble after going to the loo. He has to be helped to keep the area very clean and has had to be shown how to pull teh foreskin back to clean it etc although at times it is too tight [&:]for him to even do that.

Hi Mike and welcome to HP

Sorry I don't have any advice to offer you, I just wanted to say bless you for finding the courage to talk about your problem and I hope that the responses you have received from Lyn and Holisticheaven will help you to realise that you are not alone and that people will try to help if they can. I hope your experience here will encourage you to visit your GP.

They're a great crowd here at HP:)

Take care

RE: Embarrasing. Social destroyer.

Hi Mike,

I have a similar issue with the leaking after going. I would walk away form the toilet and then feel it dribble out, or go to sit down and then again it gushes out (ok not that bad lol).
The way I found of reducing / preventing this, was to run my fingers (using a little pressure) from in between by scrotum and anus, and bring the fingers forward. This has the affect of clearing the tubes out, and can give quite a squirt at the end. I believe that this is due to an enlarged prostate, which can be perfectly normal, or may be because of a problem. So the sooner you get you-self to a doctor and explain the problem, the sooner you can have your mind put at rest, because there is nothing to worry about. Or if there is a problem, the sooner it is investigated the more change of the problem being resolved.

I’m not sure what you foreskin issue may be, as you are a bit vague on what the problem it. But again the doctor should be able to put your mind at rest, by assuring you that it is perfectly normal, or recommend some action such as circumcision, if it is a problem for you. After all that is what the doctors are there for.

So it is time to grow up, even if you are only 17, and take responsibility for your-self. You’ve made the first step, by posting here now make an appointment with the doc and attend. You have posted on a men’s health forum, and had replies from three women. So now seeing a doctor can not be half as embarrassing.

In the mean time wear dark trousers. All the best.

Hi Mike, first thing to say is don't panic.

These are pretty common symptoms. In themselves they are not necessarily indicative of a major health issue.

You need to see your G.P. but like as not you will end up with a spincter strengthening exercise.

You could try stopping the flow of urine as you pee and then letting go again.

Also your Primary Care Trust will have a dedicated continence advisor.

If you search the name of your town and continence advisor you should get a number.

G'luck jono.
