RE: Any help would be greatly appreciated

The doctors called it an oversight on their behalf (I won't tell you what my husbands response was
No wonder Carl is in a little more pain than he should be

AN OVERSIGHT!!! I hope Carl gave them what for! poor man he must be in agony. Personally would write a letter of complaint to who ever is in charge of the hospital..... I'm quite forgiving of DRs cos i work with them & see the strain they work under, but this is a disgreace how dare they pass it off as an oversight! Crystallove & truely hope Carl is feeling better very soon & you too hunni. I'll send him & you some healing too. I always get given the colour blue when people have inflamation/ swelling so i'll pass that onto to him also. Not sure why but i'm being given gold too . Keep us updated hunni .

Star child, Thankyou also for the colours blue & gold (can you tell me any more about the gold?? PLEASE:D

AN OVERSIGHT!!! I hope Carl gave them what for!

When we rang the hospital, they asked Carl to go there & he'd be seen straight away.
So, Carl did just that (my mum took him as I had all the kids to look after). At the reception desk he was asked to take a ticket[&:] & Carl tried to explain the situation. The man behind the desk wasn't interested at all about what Carl had to say but kept insisting(sp?) he take a ticket. Then, just as my husband changed tone a little, a nurse appeared from behind the reception door & said "hello, it's Mr Johnson isn't it??" She'd clearly been listening[sm=scratchchin.gif] me think's.
Carl was taken away & left in a room for just over an hour[:-] so when a nurse finally did walk in & say to Carl "the doctors will be with you soon"[:-][:-] Carl had had enough.
His reply: You've got 2 minutes to get a doctor in here or I'm leaving. I'm here at your request & was told I would be seen straight away.
I'm giving you the opportunity to rectify this. If I do leave, I will go straight to another hospital & ask them to address it. If they find something wrong, I WILL take the matter further (the nurse went out of the room).
Carl said that within 1 minute there were 2 doctors in the room;);)
One of the doctors was also the one who did the surgery:eek:
Anyways, I'll keep you all updated.

Hi all
don't quite know where to begin, but Carls been back to the doctors today. He's been booked for emergency surgery within 3 weeks. They think he has a blockage in a tube, also, they might not have removed everything first time round as the lump is 3 times bigger now (same place).
Still trying to take it all in.
He's NOT going back to the same hospital though.
Don't really know what else I want to say at this point........................

Hi Crystallove...

I am so sorry to hear how things have deteriorated...

I have only just read this thread and I also would like to join the others in sending you and your husband love and healing light

About your question...

Star child, Thankyou also for the colours blue & gold (can you tell me any more about the gold?? PLEASE

As far as I know, gold is the colour of healing. One usually sees it when angels assist in healing. I have seen it a few times while doing Reiki...

Lots of love and hugs [sm=hug.gif]

Amber

Crystallove I'm really sorry to hear things are not good. Lets hope that this time Carl will be sorted out properly. The Gold I mentioned in an earlier thread(as Star child) is symbolic of the christ consciousness & to me it signifies his presance.

Love & Hugs Maria

TigerBee....Amber....Aromababe....Hopefull....Crystal Moonchild[sm=grouphug.gif] "THANKYOU" all for your continued support it is very much appreciated:D:D

Ok so now for an update.
Carl has been for another appointment (2 & a half hours) different consultant again. While he agrees that there is another lump/growth, he has decided not to operate (yet!!). He told my husband "there's nothing to worry about, it's not cancer":( (maybe not) but how can he make such an assumption without having seen the results of the histology from the first operation??????? There is still no trace of the histology. How can he or anyone say what it was until we've seen the results????
I've had a read of gillyann's thread "PSA tests" & must admit I'm more than worried[&:][&:]
Carl is going for some sort of x-ray/scan (just waiting for the appointment to come through).
Thankyou all for being there

RE: Any help would be greatly appreciated

Hi everyone,
I've just popped in with an update on Carl.

Gillyann
although I've been given all the talk on Carls age etc regarding the PSA test, the doctor won't do it as Carl is under a consultant who has the power to do the test IF he deems it necessary (out of the doctors hands).
However, he has had the examination (rectum) & the consultant said it felt perfectly normal. With these findings there wasn't a need to do a PSA test.
Is that the normal proceedure?
Many thanks in advance XXXX

Carl has also recently had another scan down below, it picked up extensive scarring where he had previous op, another growth in the same place as before & also a blockage. The blockage appears to be in the same place Carl still experiences pain (he's been referred to a hypnotherapist for treament of this pain) & his first appt went well.
So he's got to go back to see the consultant again. I will let you know how it goes.
We did get some lovely news from our GP though, the histology that no-one could find, well, the result: benign (sp?) so thats a relief.
