For the last couple of months my wrist has been cracking when I rotate it. eg. turning the page of a large book or rubbing in hand cream! It was a little uncomfortable but nothing too bad and I could mostly ignore it.
However in the last week it is a lot worse. the inside of my wrist is swollen and tender and the cracking is worse, louder and more frequent. In the last couple of days my hand is a little numb and tingling slightly so I am thinking it is possibly tendonitis and/or a bit of carpal tunnel syndrome.
I'll put off the GP for a while as I am overseas at the moment but are there any supplements or things I can do to help my poor wrist?!
Any advice appreciated!
It certainly is not normal carpal tunnel syndrome. That presents with initial tingling and numbness in the fingers and doesn't have any wrist symptoms normally.
Personally I feel you need to consult a doctor to get a proper diagnosis or any suggestions that may be made could make things worse rather than better.
Thanks!
I agree with Sally - that doesn't sound like a CTS presentation. See a doc as soon as - rather than waiting.
