Hello everyone
My dad lost his right hand (from elbow ) when he was 15 . He is now 60 and is suffering form arthritus in his left hand. He is haviing difficulty gripping things and its worse in the morining which causes his dificulty going about his daily tasks. he also has arthritus in his back and hips and i know he suffers quitely from it.
I would be afraid of him loosing power in his left hand and was wondering if anybody knew of anything that would help this.
Id love to hear your thoughts

RE: losing grip power in hand
Could try acupuncture (as seen on tv!). I would also try EFT.

Hi Darren Thanks for your reply
I was thinking about accupuncture actually, and might actually buy him a few sessions for his birthday.
Kind regards

Loss of grip in this instance could be caused by;
- carpal tunnel syndrome or
- compression of nerve roots due to degeneration of the vertebrae in neck
- Thoracic outlet syndrome is another option, of which there are 3 types, but most likely one of the above two if elderly.
An osteopath may be able to help, but depending on how far it's progressed as surgery may be indicated. But osteopath shouldbe able to establish cause and refer appropriately if required.
