Hi. I haven't been on here for a while but I really need some advice. I have got muscle pain in my neck, shoulders and down my upper back. I sometimes get muscle tiredness in my arms too. I have seen my GP and he did full blood test and a urine test. Both came back normal. He said that I should give it a few weeks and, if I still had it, complete a pain diary. He didn't seem to think it was anything and said that it is very common, especially in women.

Well, I've had this for a while now and it's driving me nuts! I don't know if it's due to tension. I do feel unable to relax fully.

Also, I recently had a stomach ulcer and was taking Omeprazole tablets for 3 and a half months. I have googled this drug and it has many side effects. The drug stops you from producing stomach acid and, therefore, affects the absorption of nutrients. Could it be this?

Any advice would be gratefully received along with any tips for reducing tension. I work in Higher Education and am on holiday at the moment and this is ruining it for me.

Many thanks for reading and apologies for long post.

Much love,

Lyndac x

Hello Lyndac,

While it's not possible to make an accurate assessment on an open forum, what you describe is fairly common.

I have a number of clients who have experienced similar, and after consultation can be treated through remedial massage techniques.

If you would like further information, please feel free to PM me.

Namaste,
Myarka.

Hi Lyndac

It is a common area to hold tension. I use Emmett Technique and Bowen technique to relieve pain and discomfort and find that currently neck, shoulder and upper arms problems are what most people contact me to help with.

if you want more info then p.m. me.

cheers
judith
