hi there i am new here and could do with some advice!! the last few weeks i have been having really bad headaches to the right side of my head! i also have been forgetfull, cold extremley tired and no energy at all!! i also have some dizzy spells and weight gain (for no reason) i went to the docs last week who got me to have some blood tests they have come back acceptable? i dont know what this means and i am due for a follow up next week but in the meantime my head is killing me and i am feeling pretty bad!! can any one help? also how long does a blood test take to come back as i had mine on the monday and by tuesday morning the results were back? i though this was really quick? any suggestions i would be really grateful for!! thanksx

Hi there. I hope I am not being rude, but are you around my age of 42? I have regular migraines and also 'normal headaches and also has the same sort of symptoms as you - especially the weight gain as I have gone up from 7stone 10 to 8 and a half stone. The doctor did blood tests and all were fine, put me on a small dose of what is normally prescribed for anti depressants as this has been found to put the headaches and migraines at bay- these made me worse.
The blood test was back within 3 days I think she said when I saw my doctor.
I have been doing relaxation and this has made a lot of difference to my headaches, migraines and also the perminant 'down feeling' I always had. The weight has stayed on - but this is not a big deal to me as I feel happier and not so many headaches or migraines. Still sometimes feel cold, but I just put on more clothes. I also burn lavender oils in my oil burner and jasmine as this is calming - but if I use too much I find it does the opposite, so I use a small amount of the oil and more water.

hi there thanku for getting back to me im 22 and my blood tests came back negative today and the doctor said to me to give it 2 weeks and if i have not improved then to go back however just feel a bit let down has he wasent really helpful and im at me wits end because i feel so poorly!!
