Hi,
Years ago I was playing football and a ball hit the underside of my chin like an uppercut and I can 150% say my jaw was out of place and dislocated I was in constant pain.
I went to the hospital twice with the same problem and they refused even a scan! went to my doctor response "oh take pain killers it should be fine in a few weeks"
I still get clicks now and again and my teeth upper and lower are misaligned the bottom part of my teeth is out than the upper which is inner by about 1 cm or even a half cm. I am way better since it happen about 5-6 years ago but sometimes I get clicking when I eat, which is not painful but annoying any remedy?
Find a cranio-sacral therapist. IMO this is an important matter to get sorted as it will have an effect on the tension in your neck and then down the spine.

hi
you may have some kind of muscle spasm which is causing the jaw to misalign.
My partner had similar ' clicking' problems , particularly in the morning after sleeping - these lasted for years also until she finally found a doctor who referred her to a specialist who treated her with acupuncture to the jaw muscles.
There was a huge improvement and she hardly has any trouble now.
good luck
