Hi

I suffer from Helicobacter Pylori and have stomach ulcers, i have had the triple therapy, but still have all the symptoms. Im due to have an unrelated operation in 3 weeks time. Which will take about 3 hours.
Does anybody know if the General Anaesthetic is dangerous with a person with stomach ulcers. Is there a risk of complications?

Any advice much appreciated. 🙂

RE: Stomach ulcers

Hi Elaine,

I have just posted a reply to the question next to this one relating to stomach ulcers. I think you would do well to follow the regime I have outlined on there, starting right away and carrying on after your operation. This would not only help to offset side effects but might even sort out your ulcer problem.

Best wishes.

RE: Stomach ulcers

Hi
Thanks for the advice.:)

The alternative remedies do sound very promising, although im not sure if i will be able to take them before my operation being only three weeks away. Im sure i have heard that some herbal/alternative remedies can cause blood thinning and Surgeons do not recommend takingthem a few weeks before?

Im booked in for a gastroscopy tomorrow morning, i could ask then.
Im staying awake for it, as General Anaesthetic makes me ill for about a week[>:][:@]
