Hello, I am 18 years old.

I have discovered a small pea sized blue tinted lump just outside my anus, it hurts when I go to the toilet and is generally uncomfortable when sitting down etc.

I think it is haemorrhoid but not too sure how to cure it, if I should visit the doctor or see if it will cure itself?

It is the first time I have had this problem.

Thanks in advance.

Could well be a haemorrhoid, but I can't see it from here. Could be other things too - boils etc.

Piles are a good barometer of the state of the liver. When the liver becomes congested, pressure rises in the portal vein and this pressure causes the pile to form where the vein approaches other vessles near the surface. Simply excising the pile therefore means that another one forms as the underlying problem remains. Cream treats locally but still doesn't relieve the liver.

Definitely need it properly diagnosed, hence Ava's advice is correct. However you may not get a very 'holistic' treatment via that route. How you go about dealing with this problem depends on your overall constitution and the philosophy of the practitioner - and your own viewpoint.

Ok thanks I will go to the GP when I'm next free, probably thursday :/. That seems quite possible, especially since the problem occurred sunday, the day after a night out drinking. Although I didn't drink a lot.

Thanks!

Edit, could supply a picture but not sure if I should?
