I have a 7 month old daughter who is always rubbing her eyes and she now has dark circles under the eyes. No one else in the family has dark circles, so it is not a hereditary problem. Why would she feel the need to rub her eyes so much?

Firstly is she having enough fluids? Are you getting lots of wet nappies.
It may be that the dark circles are broken blood vessels from rubbing but I would suggest taking her to docs and getting it checked.
May also be that it could be an allergy/intolerence to something, but get to docs anyway to rule out anything else.

Could it be that she is not getting enough, or poor, sleep?
She gets nearly 1 litre of total fluids per 24 hours, which includes water, juice and ofcouse Milk. Is that enough?
She sleeps for probably about 1 hour (broken 10 minutes here, 10 minutes there) in the day time and in the night time, she is normally asleep by 9pm and wakes up about 7am, but she also wakes up about 3am in the morning.
I will take her to the docs, lets say it is broken vessels from rubbing, is it possible to clear those up?
I think she is very tired and probably needs more sleep. If her sleeping pattern gets better dark circle will disappear. But make sure to go to see the doctor as well.
