Forum
Hi,
I joined this forum in feb 2012 because I was so depressed with another episode of prolapses disc and terrible sciatic pain. I had surgery in 2010 on l4/l5 as was in a terrible state, had an epidural, physio, osteo...you name it I tried it. I was fabulous after surgery until the begining of this year. It was the same disc again I cant take painkillers other than paracetomal as they upset my stomach due to trying so much last time I again had physio, saw an osteopath, had accupuncture and spent most the day attached to a tens machine as it was the only relief I was getting. I had anoher epidural which made no affect this time around. My surgeon had said ideally I wanted to avoid surgery again, and I definately wanted to.avoid this, im under 30, due to be married gone back to uni and had 3 horses I couldnt do a thing with. A friend suggested Body Stress Release and I have been going since july and I have my life back. It is one of the most gentle therapys I have encountered and it has helped me no end. I can honestly say that most days I am pain free. I no longer have terrible headaches which I have suffered with for years. I am back to walking like im on a mission rather than hobbling everywhere and I back riding and competing my horses. I am well aware that I have a weakness in this area and I am careful to ensure I sit properly nost the time and generally look after my back. Prior to starting this therapy I had to change my job as I could not cope with lifting children and was looking at a grim future. It amazes me how I have got my life back in a suprisingly short amount of time. I cannot recommend this therapy enough. Had I not experienced it myself I would not.believe it possible. This is just aomething I wanted to share incase anyone else out there is at the end of their teather!
H Memo,
Thank you for sharing that with us. I haven't heard of this therapy.. I shall look into it - I hope you remain relatively pain free for many years to come
