Hi; My name is malek smadi i am 39 years old male.
i went under two disc prolapse surgeries(discectomy) in 1998 and 2007 respectively.
Lately i had severe pain similar to that i experienced before the previously mentioned operations so i was given an MRI, and the report stated the following:

1.L4/L5 large lt paracentral disc protrusion with epidural fibrosis with compressing the thecal sac an lt nerve root at the same level.
2. MODIC type II degenerative changes at the same level.
3. Lumbaralization of S1.
4. conus medullaris appears normal.

can these results be interpreted and explained by anyone?
Regards;

Hi Malek and welcome to Healthypages,

can these results be interpreted and explained by anyone?

People on these forums (and any other internet forum really) are not the best people to be asking for any sort of diagnosis or prognosis for medical conditions. In many countries it is actually illegal for people to offer a diagnosis/prognosis unless they are medically qualified to do so.

If you want to understand what your report says, the best person to speak to would be your doctor or the consultant you were seeing.
