This is good to read. They are more intelligent.

"People with autism are more intelligent and able to function better than previously believed"

RE: New research
One theory is that introducing foreign large proteins into an immature system (young child) as is the case with albumin in childhood vaccinations i.e. MMR can interrupt some of the normal pathways of communication within the brain.
More on this here - [link= http://www.healthypages.net/forum/tm.asp?m=311536 ]http://www.healthypages.net/forum/tm.asp?m=311536[/link]
The logical outcome in a developing brain would be to adapt and work around the problem by using more complicated pathways, which leaves more room for error. The ability to do this is called neural plasticity, for which we have a much greater capacity when we are younger.
Whilst this senario could create huge problems in certain areas of brain function it could equally force the development of abnormally advanced qualities in other areas, hence some of the unique talents of some with autistic spectrum disorders.
This still only remains a theory of course, but in practice this seems to be the case. It does, however leave an ethical dilemma in that;
Does one treat the child to desenstise the child for albumin and other potential allergies with NAET and result in a 'normal' child? Or
Leave well alone,give help,support and nuture the possible talents of the child with autisitic spectrum child.
In my view that's the real question for the parent and after several yearsof considering this I'm now of the view of addressing the underlying (IMHO) problems is the better way to go.

The only thing that I query is when I look back at video of joshua as a baby he seem to develope pretty well and them after he had jabs, his talking stopped and we had to teach him as thou he was from another country and did not understand much english (best way i can explain it).
He still attens hospital and he's 8 years old now, but has improved greatly in many ways.
But still don't know what he has wrong with him as the hopital decide to keep him long tearm.

RE: New research
This does not surprise me one bit. I think the medical community often makes assumptions that really have no leg to stand on . Problems are viewed limiting rather than open minded. That by itself limitsthe possible outcome, IOW beware of what you ask for - you might just get it. If in turn we believe that improvements can be made, then usuallly there will be improvements.
Thoughts are more real than matter 😉
great post.
great post. Thank you. here is some of my thought.
