hi, anyone out there have any relatives etc with either autism, or aspergers. i have started a discussion forum, but not sure if i can post address here,
Hi Amethystfairy,
I have a 15 year old son who has dyspraxia as well, where i think he has Asperger's syndrome ( where i have been told these two conditions can go 'hand in hand') and we are currently going through the process of seeing if he has got it. I would advise you to ask your GP to refer your daughter to someone who tests for asperger's, as this is what i did and they should be able to tell you if your daughter's behaviour is a trait of AS. 🙂
Warmest wishes- calla lily x
Thanks Calla lily, i will try to take her to doctors but she is so stubborn likes being at home not go out but will have to learn as she might go to E2E then college in September.
will tell her if she thinks she has got it she'd better see dr, but she is adamant she has got it and why should she see him!oh well. will do my best.
she not good with pouring liquids ,clumsy, drop, knock things!bump into things.

Teenagers eh, 😉 is she under a SENCO ( special needs coordinator ) at school? If so, perhaps a meeting could be arranged to discuss your daughter's view along with backing you up in regard of persuading her it would be a good thing to see a doctor.:)
Regarding my son, his speech and fine motor skills are the most affected, especially his handwriting- it can be like cracking a code at times!

no she was home educated due to bullying. went to see specialist when she was 12 /13 as i noticed her clumsy etc but she was declared ok but poor motor skills.handwriting slow and small!have told her if you want to be dignosed as having aspergers might be good idea to see the dr she said maybe so wait and see.yes she is a typical teenager moody lol!
