Just a quick question if there are any watch loving dermatologists out there!!
My wife bought a Tag Monaco with the python strap wore it with no problems but once our daughter was born and she put the watch on within hours her wrist comes out in a burning rash. The watch went back to TAG and they supplied a new set of straps but the same thing happens. Now we are stuck with a watch that isn't faulty but cannot be worn for more than two hours at a time. My wife is obviously faulty!!
Anyone else out there had any allergic reactions of this type and or offer any answers, remedies, suggestions??

I have the same problem but it's the metal of the watch. i had a really nice gold watch that started bringing me out in a rash after I had been wearing it for years. I then replaced it with one with a leather strap but the back of the watch and the buckle of the strap were enough to set it off again. I don't know why this allergy started but I can literally only wear silver or titanium.
I now wear a titanium watch with a titanium strap and the problem has never occured since. Unfortunately, it meant that my other watches went to waste until i eventually sold them.
I cannot wear anything but old silver even my wedding ring, anything else brings me out in a rash. i keep giving my daughters any bits and pieces, but it seems sad when i can't wear gifts that others give me
I used to have problems with a watch and ended up wearing a leather strap which threaded through the cleats at the sides and run under the watch. It had a wide bit which covered the area of the metal. Another possibility is to paint the metal parts in clear nail varnish - it will eventually wear through, so will need replenishing periodically.
