I love magazines as you can dip in and out and don't have to commit like reading a book! I don't buy them though - I ask family to buy subscriptions for birthday/christmas and one pops through your letterbox every month for a whole year! Woman and Home is one of my favourites along with Top Sante and Psychologies. When finished, swap with friends.
Of the magazines I subscribe to the one I most look forward to is The Reiki News producd by William Lee Rand. I also like Kindred Spirit.

Being female I have never bought it, but there was a semi porno mag called `Readers Wives`.
Besotted husbands/partners sent in photos of their far from beautiful other halves. It was good for a laugh apparently.
I wonder if it is still going?
Oh that yes i do remember that! my ex husband used to buy mags of dubious nature and this was one of those I quite liked because it wasn't some slim celebrities with fantastic breasts or pretty just normal ladies but at the same time thought it pity that their families know what they look like semi naked oh well....

I tend to avoid buying women's fashion magazines because it depresses me to see all those size 2 models. 🙁
I only buy Spirit and Destiny and Country Living magazines now, I used to buy all the 'Glossy's' but I got bored! So I usually just stick to those two, unless I find an interesting article about cats in one of the cat mags.

Depresses at which way?
It deppresses me too because I am worried about their health and very sorry because they have chooce lifestyle which look like they suffer and be sad all the time I feel they are victims because of all the shyt around them and us generally :(. I kind of understand natural reasons to stop eating but stop eating just and only to desire to be underweight (and possible get attention and pity because of it) is something what I do not understand at all, they have got all my pity.
Argh! That is subject which take me a nerve :031: All those kids and teens and adults who think that is what they "should be" :(.. And others who say for them what they should be and look like :(...
If you want to save some money - buy a magazine that you like for a year and then put them away somewhere and get them out the following year. I bet you wouldn't know that they were last years - especially the good housekeeping / improve your home type ones !
Sorry that's rather cynical - but I did tend to keep magazines 'just in case' there would be something I would want to refer to in future. Of course they just sat in a pile and I never looked at them again - just kept stacking them up. So when I felt in need of a magazine I tried going to the old pile - and hey presto they felt 'new'.
Then I gave them away to the GP surgery / hospital A & E waiting room.
Cheers
