Has anyone else been watching this show on BBC? Some of the breakthroughs are amazing... I have an interest in all things psychological and was amazed to see a lady who had suffered with severe depression for years on screen. She had as a last resort had pioneering surgery where they placed electrodes directly into her brain.

The most remarkable part was not that this had effectively cured her, but that by a slight alteration in the frequency it was possible to lower and raise her mood with the kind of responsiveness you'd expect from volume control on your stereo!
Remarkable!

Thanks Yellow coaching,
This sounds very interesting, when is it on, is it a series and if so, much left? I don't watch a lot of the goggle-box and it would be typical of my luck for it to have just finished.

Was on bbc4 so might be worthwhile looking for the repeats (they do come up quite often) The episode I mentioned in previous post was the first one.

I think a combo of the technologies mentioned in the series so far mean i could live forever, fly (superconductors) and be invisible oooh possibilities 🙂

I also have an interest in psychology, so I was surprised that I'd apparently missed this. So I did a search the other day and found that it is, as you say, on BBC4 ... and I still live in the dark ages, TV-wise! 😉 Here's the link:

Also spotted, in the right side bar:

Hope this is also of interest.
