Such sad news today - leaving us far too early.

I know these pages are usually quite serious (and I did wonder whether to post in the General Discussions or even Jokes) but well, let's all share our favourite jokes or acts and bring a smile and a laugh to everyone!

Thanks for many laughs and now tears, Victoria.

Love and peace,

Judy

She will be sadly missed. I was flattered for many years to be told I looked like her.. Dear 2016 please stop taking so many famous well loved people 🙁

Well I tried to respect Principled's wish to share her jokes...but, since there have been 2 serious posts, it looks like I am heartless.

Of course it is a sad loss and I admire her for breaking into showbiz in, what was then, a male dominated profession in comedy. The girl done good and became very versatile. She deservedly won a CBE.

This is my favourite sketch of hers...

She would have wanted people to remember her with a laugh! 😀

She was a brilliant script writer, as this sketch illustrates, though I was almost feeling I have to hide behind the sofa when Julie Walters staggers across the floor!! A brilliant all-rounder really - musician, singer, comedienne and writer.

Thanks Amy

One of my favourite bits of stand-up I still remember clearly after many years - funny to me because I was the same age. I guess anyone much younger (or older) would not have resonated with it ...

She was talking about having acne:
"I can't have acne. I'm 32. I go to garden centres. I can't have acne! What will I break out in next? Loon pants? A crush on the Men from UNCLE?"
