Dear Judy,

On reflection and with the greatest of respect I feel I made it very clear in my earlier post that I do not feel Gerry McCann has anything to do with the dissapearance of Madeline, what I did say is that I have an intuitive feeling about him which is not good, it has nothing to do with the lack of emotion either of them have publicly displayed to date just a gut feeling which in your opinion may be 'wrong thinking' but as stated earlier I feel there is a distinguishable difference between what is considered wrong feeling and intuition.
Either way I meant no offence so I apologise if I caused any.

Love

Rebecca xx

I just want to say that I think I know what Becky means and I don't think it has anything to do with judging or not judging people. Intuition is what it is....but in my experience, sometimes it's right and sometimes it's wrong. Some years ago a student went missing in Oxford. Eventually her dead body was found hidded in the house she'd shared. I remember seeing her boyfriend on TV, possibly on Crimewatch. Out of the blue something in my head said 'he did it'. I had nothing to go on - it was simply intuition. I was really surprised when it turned out that he had killed her. (Just to add a final point to this sad story: the girl's mother made a point of saying after his trial that she forgave him. That, I thought, was wonderful.)

Kate re-issuing her book and they have got the PM involved asking the police to once again look into the `disappearance` of Madeline McCann.

What must people who have had children disappear think of the media circus around this case.

My personal view is she died that night at their hands, probably accidently and this is all part of the major cover up.

They knew once she had died, that had they owned up to it they would be crucified. Straight away their two younger children would be taken into care and they would be imprisoned and lose their very lucritive posts.

Far better to make up the abduction story.

As a mother, you know had your child gone missing, you would answer any questions the police put to you if you thought it would help find your child. Not her she only answered one I belive out of 40 questions....what!!

You have valid points there of course. Whilst you may be wrong - You may be right.
We may never know the answers and therefore there will always be doubt and Yes there are many unanswered questions. I tend to feel the same way as you, as do many across the world.

PR companies exist in order to manipulate our impressions of people, that's why celebrities employ them.

The media would have us believe that teenagers on our streets are dangerous, but a teenager in a uniform on the streets of another country is a war hero. Muslims protesting on the streets of Cairo or Damascus are heroic, but the media would have us believe that all Muslims in Britain are potential terrorists.

How many of us, in the months leading up to Diana's death considered her to be an embarrassment to the country, destroying the dignity of the royal family? How many of us, after her death, despite any opinion we'd formed previously, considered her to be the embodiment of all virtues? It's what we were told to think.

We like our stories simple and clear, goodies and baddies. It's all a media game, reality presented like a television drama - 'infotainment'. Maybe the McCanns just don't play it like the professionals.

The point is we don't have to form an opinion of them. Most of us don't know them, and we have nothing relevant to contribute that will help resolve the case.

I have an intuitive feeling about him which is not good

You have valid points there of course. Whilst you may be wrong - You may be right..

Everything said against them is conjecture. If intuition can be wrong as often as it's right then the best policy is probably to keep the conclusions we come to about a person to ourselves. Especially if the person concerned is a parent who's lost a child.

Have to say I'm astonished at this thread, as I thought all those daft "the McCanns did it" theories had finally gone away.

How could they have possibly done it?? Even if they had accidentally killed her (how does THAT happen?), does anyone seriously believe they could have covered that up? That they could sit having dinner with close friends as if nothing had ever happened? How could they have disposed of a body in a foreign country so no one would have found it? And more importantly, why would they? Accidents happen - as doctors, they would know that as well as anyone else. You don't get imprisoned when children die accidentally. You DO get imprisoned for trying to cover up a death.

And most convincing of all, as stated above, if you had committed a crime and thought you had got away with it, do you really think you would take every opportunity to keep it in the public eye, encouraging police forces to investigate?

Give me strength!!

Unfortunately for the McCanns, they don't seem to have the knack of charming the media and the public, even when they have pictures of their cute child helping them. I don't find them particularly warm people, as far as I can judge them by seeing them on TV. That doesn't make them guilty or suspicious. The fact remains that they have lost a child (and don't keep harping on the "neglect" line... no parent sits watching over their children 24 hours a day). It's not surprising that they have become obsessive... luckily for them, they are educated and have good media advice, unlike the parents of many other missing children, so they have been able to fund their campaign. Let's not hold THAT against them.

Have any legit psychics come forward with any information? At least a medium would know if the child was dead. It would certainly be better than nothing.

As far as I am aware no Medium has stated that they have made contact with Madeline.? Perhaps this could give a glimmer of hope to those who believe, that she is still alive.

It's a link worth having looked up and worth citing here IMHO. It adds a taste of realism to how useful mediums and psychics are ever likely to be in such cases. (Though I have no problem fully admitting that I do accept and even have an interest in the remote viewers trained, alas, by the militaries of the USA and USSR/Russia.) But as a rule, forget it.

In my alter ego (I cannot reveal the name I work under) as the UK's most sought after, and No. 1 psychic & medium, I predicted that Graham Dare would end up being proven wrong the day after he made his own prediction in 2007. I was right!

(See the link and comments in posts beneath in that link about "Why do they always call themselves the UK's No. 1 and use all these superlatives?")

I think I'd weigh in on the "poor taste at best" side, although I can see how there might be positive side effects.

I have only just looked at most of these replies.

People who know me of old will know I don't mind saying what I think and I like to provoke a reaction.

Having said that I stand by what I said, it is what I believe. Of course I don't know what went on that night anymore than anyone else here, it is my opinion.

I thought that was what this is all about, not giving each other a friendly slap on the back and agreeing with everything we all say....how boring.

By the way there are many, many people who think as I do, I am not alone.
