BBC News - Nasa satellite UARS nearing Earth 'could land anywhere'
It's expected to crash on Friday 23rd September, or a day either side, with a risk to life of 1 in 3,200. It could quite easily harmlessly fall into the sea (the Atlantic and Pacific make up a huge area of the zone) or uninhabited land rather than a more populated area. But most of it will have broken up and burnt away, leaving a few larger pieces.
