Not sure how to do a link but just read this article and now I feel sick.
I know one thing for sure I am actually glad I am not young this world is going back to the dark ages.

I wonder how the barbaric acting police would have felt if they suddenly found one of the 'peaceful' protesters turned out to be their son or daughter!

[COLOR="Red"]Shock video of pepper-spraying cops!

I am sure clever people will be able to locate it.

I've seen the video clip of this incident, and while it may look like "police brutality", the protesters were asked to move on and were warned about the methods the police would employ if they refused. Pepper spray doesn't do any lasting damage - I'm sure rubber bullets would have been worse.

I'm not condoning the behaviour of the police, I just think we should keep some perspective.

Kiga these people were peaceful protesters there was no need to use anything on them, after using pepper sprays they were viciously man handled and handcuffed...what is happening to our freedom to protest and speak out against injustice and wrongdoings in this world.

Well, I wasn't exactly doing that, and as I said, I don't condone the police's actions. But if the protesters are not prepared to leave or move along, what's the solution? I think you'll find the majority of ordinary people agree with the right to peacefully protest, but their patience isn't endless.

It's a 'protest' kiga, how many protesters do you know of throughout history who move away (and shut up) on request???? what would the whole point of protesting be if that was the case??.....they're wanting to be heard...what happened in this instance is illegal and abusive...it's mine and your choice to accept it or not.....but if we where to accept this kind of treatment, where will it end?

Yes, it is tragic that this young woman lost her baby as a result of her taking part in a protest which had the potential to become violent (which of course it did).

I'm no expert but I would have thought the kick(s) in the stomach were a more likely cause of the miscarriage than the pepper spray. There will always be exceptions - I meant that pepper spray usually causes no long-lasting effects.
